If they could put Breen all the time they would but as said Breen is the PBP guy for the Knicks 75% of the season. Putting Billups in there permanently is a good thing but he's basically playing his cards out until he gets an NBA job. Ryan Rucco is also a good PBP guy who should be used more. Michael Kay injury for the Yankees has shown how really good he is and I like the pairing of him and Chauncey last year in the season. Doris should be getting more work with Breen though If last season is any indication, we only get Jackson/Breen/Van Gundy combo for the Xmas game and playoffs. Van Gundy does better when not around Mark but Jackson is still trash by himself I don't think with their announcing teams they have enough for any of their B teams to be any good. Which is another reason why NBA's coverage is superior IMO. At least give me a few primetime match-ups that aren't mute-worthy. ESPN takes on players and some of them just be pure trash. Ryan Hollins is trash, Richard Jefferson is a goof, Jalen Rose is both of them combined. It never feels like a smart convo is happening unless you got obvious smart people in the room like Chauncey Billups Meanwhile on NBA TV, you got Isiah Thomas, Grant Hill, Steve Smith, Sam Mitchell guys like that all who put the focus on the game and give you great insight. Announcers are still trash like C-Webb and Reggie Miller but at least got A plus PBP guys in Harlan and Marv Albert to counteract that. Also obviously TNT with their 4 personalities in Shaq, Kenny, EJ, and Chuck is A plus

Webber should stick to calling college games. Walton too forever, plz for the love of god. I really want Vince Carter to get into the game once he retires, or maybe Jefferson to get away from that tire fire of a morning show.

He's pretty funny as I listened to him on some Nets games and he digs fun at some of the players and also himself. He is just trash in Get Up but then again Idk who can look good on that show VC is def moving to the countdown shows come next season. He already has been doing The Jump in the offseason and he speaks well for himself which is pretty obvious. Reggie has become borderline trash for me. He was better before, but he somehow lost it a while back. He doesn't bother me like C-Webb does though. When you put Reggie with Marv, he is at his best and in the end Reggie doesn't ramble like C-Webb does. C-Webb rambles and then screams over little shit but Reggie knows when to sit back and announce The best part is NO MORE PLAYERS ONLY!!! That shit was all the way trash

Every time this updates, I hope it's that Get Up's been cancelled, and when it's not, I get sad.

That shit was all the way trash Jefferson has the most personality of any jack of all trades type player I've seen in a long time. Him and Frye roasting LeBron was one of the funniest NBA videos in a long time. VC is sorely missed during the season, but I really want him to try his hand at calling games. They need color commentators badly. Also, of the players on that Duke team, I really wish that ESPN had hired Battier instead of Jay Williams. I don't really notice Reggie as much as some other really bad announcers. You've always hated Players Only. That was your biggest win of the off-season, which you needed after that lottery.

I never "got" Beadle. No Pierce is unquestionably an upgrade. The Jump is one of the better things going for ESPN these days. Nichols is killing it, and Amin in a more professional setting comes off as less of a dweeb. I would not mind it at all if ESPN cycled in some new female talent if Beadle leaves and Fagan having left and Mina seemingly preferring to dabble in everything rather than being nailed down to one project. Beadle was that fun personality that wasn't trying to fake it when she was at her most popular with Cowherd. She knew her shit. Then she left for NBC to do nothing for a few years and came back to ESPN and really never had that spark she had before. She tried to be too quirky and animated and it comes off more so annoying now especially when you haven't changed yourself since you became popular I'm guessing they move Pierce to the midnight hour. I thought Cassidy Hubbarth would get more love as she is a good host and knows her shit but can't complain about Nichols. Keep Amin on The Jump. He has a tendency to go into stupid mode and if anything he would turn into another Bill Simmons (with more credentials) if you put him on. ESPN just really needs to redo their whole NBA coverage. Breen is fine but Jackson and Van Gundy are the equivalents of Jerry The King Lawler collecting a paycheck and new blood news to put in the NBA Finals. Give Breen others to work with Stan Van Gundy is All Eli... I mean is heading to Turnerland nypost.com/2019/08/14/stan-van-gundy-bolting-espn-in-major-nba-media-move/

Stan is very knowledgeable and having him be the 3rd man in the booth is best. Reggie, Marv, Stan is a good 3 man team and you have the coaching knowledge. Somewhat surprised they never tried to do Stan/Jeff more for games. The few games they did to was fun as they obviously have brotherly chemistry and it motivated Jeff Sad to hear they let go of Ros Gold-Onwude tho. I thought she did pretty well for herself but Turner has had a revolving door trying to find someone to replace Craig.

They are all in with that as their Good Morning America type show For better or worse (probably worse) they are sticking with it. Still think they could have done this same thing with Mike & Mike but Greeny made a power play

Well, RIP Stan Van Gundy Wednesdays on the Le Batard Show. Granted, I don't exactly mind because SVG can be a bit boring for 3 hours of radio.

so, what does every one watch on ESPN?
I watch 30 for 30 if it sounds interesting, Monday Night Football, the NFL Draft and Highly Questionable.

On the main channel? 30 for 30, E60, The Jump, High Noon, and Highly Questionable. Also Monday Night Football if the game's compelling and Sunday Night Baseball if the Yankees are playing.
But appointment viewing for me is the LeBatard Show with Stugotz simulcast on ESPN EWS. But the new gambling odds graphics they just put on that station are really obnoxious.

College football, NFL, maybe NBA. Now that there's the ACC Network, any of the games I would have watched probably won't be on there anyway.
The actual talk shows are insufferable.

ESPN is damn weird in that they seemingly don't know how to re-arrange regularly scheduled programming properly when they need to on short notice. Today's episode of Around The Horn has mysteriously vanished because they couldn't wait 1 whole hour to give a special report on the late-breaking Antonio Brown news on the main channel. Apparently "Max on Boxing" "The Will Cain Show" or "College Football Live" couldn't be budged neither, but ATH can suck a d, right?
