Marvel should start a group called Fourtune and it'll be an obvious ripoff of the Fantastic Four. then it'll have 5 members for some stupid reason. The fifth member's power should be invisibility and have limited speaking capacity.

And I don't know for sure but isn't the FF a pretty big part of Doctor Strange's story at some point? He appeared in one of the early issues of FF.But he was never a big part of their stuff back in the Silver or Bronze age. No idea after that cause I kind of fell out of reading Strange.

Marvel hates the Fantastic Four more then they hate marriage and women who won't stick their butts out in awkward positions combined. Which, considering the average MJ panel in the 90's, they had both those things: ![](http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_eQ5BBnWj_T8/SGo1l_FcO2I/AAAAAAAABPs/rp9lUrO8xP0/s400/mj3.gif)

I guess the only thing I can do is go home to my giant house and my supermodel wife.

Can someone tell me when Fox ruined the Fantastic Four? Like, when were the characters ruined so bad that the comics had to cease production? I'm just trying to understand this new title. Are Marvel somehow the good guys for protecting me from being able to buy F4 comics because of the movies being bad. I see no way Marvel aren't the jerks here, throwing a temper tantrum because they're mad they made a deal years ago that today isn't beneficial to them so screw the franchises fans.

It's definitely a dick move from Marvel, but I see the logic in what they're doing. Hell, they've scaled back on X-Men for the same reason. The problem is they're up against Fox, who are seemingly just as petty about keeping FF out of Marvel's hands as Marvel are about trying to get the rights back. Marvel try to diminish the fanbase and limit potential profits for Fox, Fox say "f*** it" and make a movie at a loss just to stop the rights reverting back to Marvel.

They're all acting like a bunch douchebags in this instance & the fans suffer for it. All we get are shitty Fantastic Four movies & no FF comics.

What really gets to me is Marvel doesn't have Doctor Doom. Edit: AND Silver Surfer. The fact that Marvel's cosmic characters are starring in blockbuster films and Silver Surfer isn't a part of it grinds my gears to no end.

So, we're going to just ignore that the Fantastic Four's comic sales have gone downhill for several years before it's cancellation?
You don't keep a comic going that doesn't sell.

So, we're going to just ignore that the Fantastic Four's comic sales have gone downhill for several years before it's cancellation? You don't keep a comic going that doesn't sell. A lot of Marvel books get crummy sales these days, and they're usually just relaunched anyway. One of the reasons I think Marvel are so gung-ho on making Iron Man their flagship guy is not just because of the movies, but because they want to eventually retire the Peter Parker led Spider-Man titles. ASM's been relaunched so many damn times now I bet it's to cover up the fact it doesn't do half the numbers that it did before OMD. If Spidey wasn't the iconic hotplate it remains with the younger demographic in movies and cartoons, that book would have been dust ages ago. I doubt the easily-pleased low-brow crowd that think Slott is talented are the real answer.

I just want Fantastic Four back at Marvel so we could see a proper Doom and Galactus.

Fantastic Four really doesn't lend itself to a movie to begin with. TV show maybe, though it'd need to be a fairly pricey one, but trying to do it as a standard superhero movie is missing the point.
Granted that could still be done much better than has been done.

When I last counted there are more X-books POST Secret War than there were before hand. not to mention stuff like Beast joining the Inhumans book and other things like that.

Inhumans have like 2 books
X-men have:
All-New X-Men Extraordinary X-Men Uncanny x-men X-men 92
Old Man Logan Wolverine
Deadpool (tecnically!)
Not to mention Beast being in the Inhumans, Kitty being in the Guardians of the Galaxy... and any of the X-characters that show up in any of the other Team books.

Inhumans have like 2 books Make that one. One of those books is gone after September Also, we still don't know what Marvel's plan is for this "Death of X" event, but they're having fun implying it's the death of the line
