Lavar Ball: "My son will only play for the Lakers." Lonzo Ball is a really good prospect. His only drawback right now is that his Dad is a complete loudmouth idiot. I hope he goes to the Sixers now.

"I want him to be a Laker, but I wasn't saying he's only going to play for the Lakers." –LaVar Ball He trying to backtrack now lol He literally said, "My son will only play for the Lakers." Between this and the rumors about Paul George, what is it with basketball players and the Lakers? I get that there's an allure about playing in the second-biggest media market in the country and never having to worry about cold weather and being surrounded by pristine beaches and beautiful women - OK, Los Angeles sounds pretty good now that I mention it - but the Lakers are rotting garbage and have been for a half-decade. They haven't won a playoff series since 2012, haven't advanced past the Conference Semifinals since 2010, and haven't finished above .500 since 2013. I mean, Orlando has warm weather, attractive women, and beaches within an hour drive, but you don't see people falling all over themselves to play for the Magic, and they're basically in the same situation as the Lakers are right now.

Well theyll have George and Westbrook in two years and id be shocked if one or two of the young kids dont work out. shame how NBA is run.

Kyle Lowry is out for at least the rest of the regular season after surgery on his injured wrist.

With Kyle Lowry out until the playoffs, there's no reason for the Celtics not to end up in the no. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference. Toronto was three games back of Boston, now they're without their best player for the final month and a half. All the Celtics have to do is not let Washington catch up to them and they should ease into the postseason with the 2 seed.

I miss Boogie... Take solace in the fact that Pelicans have yet to win a game since the trade so that pick could pay dividends as long as it does not fall in top 3.

Hi, Bob Myers? Please don't sign Matt Barnes. Draymond Green is already testing my limits and I'd rather not have a player I openly despise on my beloved Warriors.

People laughing at KD's injury and saying it's karma is beyond pathetic. It's a f***ing game, yo.

Yeah - a guy deciding to leave the team that randomly picked him at the start of his career definitely deserves to have his knee destroyed.

Assuming KD's out a long time, the Warriors won't have any trouble against the Nuggets/Pelicans in Round 1 of the playoffs or even the Clippers in Round 2. If they get matched up with teams like the Jazz, Grizzlies, or Thunder, THEN they've got an issue.

Yeah - a guy deciding to leave the team that randomly picked him at the start of his career definitely deserves to have his knee destroyed. If you want to be even more technical, Oklahoma didn't even draft him, Seattle did. So even if we're playing this loyalty thing straight, Durant technically didn't owe Oklahoma anything since the city got gifted him in the first place.

So even if we're playing this loyalty thing straight, Durant technically didn't owe Oklahoma anything since the city got gifted him in the first place. And even then he does not owe OKC anything. He gave them 9 years of his career and they did not get it done so he felt it was time for a change. If you are mad because he left for GS instead of "doing it on his own" that is one thing but fans in OKC need to stop acting like Durant did not put them on the map. When everybody was dogging Westbrook for being selfish and trying take shine from Durant he had his back even if not everything he said was true in hindsight.

Good game here between Cleveland and Boston. The Cavs need to play Korver more, as he's such a great deep threat. With LeBron and Kyrie always pooking to drive and dish, why would you want Derrick Williams out there over Korver?

Deron Williams missed a wide open 3 to screw the Cavs. Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.
