Maybe the Warriors will go undefeated this year. Or, at least, win the title.
Also, the people that are going to attack Durant for leaving the Thunder (or for joining GS) need to think about it for, oh, a minute. Durant had approximately no say in where he was going to play (I mean, theoretically he could have pulled a John Elway and said, "I'm not going to play there.") -- twice. First, with the draft, which, when you think about it, is a pretty ridiculous concept (rather than having teams, say, bid for the young talent and win over that talent, it's just telling those kids where they will go if they want to make a living using their talents). And then again with the Seattle-to-OKC move. And, for some reason, we are supposed to expect some dumb sense of loyalty from athletes who had no say in their situation.

If Dirk wants that ring he should sign with The Warriors 4 the vets minimum, they could use him to add bench depth

Durant should be viewed 10 times worse than LeBron was after 2010. This is way, way, way, worse.
LeBron was on a terribly mismanaged team with no shot at a title and joined two of his super friends to build something in Miami. I thought that was a cheap move on LeBron's part, but it actually looks humble compared to Durant. If you look at KD's situation, he was on a team that SHOULD have made the Finals last year. He's on a team with one of the best GM's in the game. He has another star with him (while LeBron in 2009-10 had no one). Now he joins a team that set a single season wins record and has the ability to win a title without him.
Bitch move, Durant. If it's Cleveland and Golden State again next year (and it will be), then I hope LeBron humiliates him.

I hope LeBron buttf***s the Warriors in the finals like he did last year.

Is it weird that I don't have any disdain whatsoever for this? Like, I get why pretty much everyone has lost respect for KD, and that's something he's gonna have to deal with, but I'm just like, "Alright then."
I also get that this is worse than LeBron, because KD actually has pieces around him on OKC, whereas LeBron had nothing in Cleveland. On the other hand, KD didn't have a half hour special on ESPN talking about how great he is while making his decision, which is really the biggest issue I had with LeBron back then.

David West is a free agent right? If he wants that ring he should sign with The Warriors, they could use him for their bench.

The Golden State Warriors just became the most hated team in the NBA.

Eliminates the biggest threat to Golden State next season and nobody in the East has a chance of improving enough to overtake the Cavs. Finals are set next season one week into July.

"Growth as a player and as a man" = "I couldn't do it by myself so I'm going to ride Steph Curry's coattails"
I fxxxing hate the Warriors (and the whole NBA, really) and KD is a ring chasing coward.

This is Michael Jordan giving up and joining the Bad Boys in 1989. Would have been stupid if trying to win a title,Detroit had an older team that was about to go on their downside meanwhile Pippen and Grant were just starting to hit their stide.

I'm not one of those people that are believe in team loyalty or nothing like that. Go where you feel you are gonna have the most success.
I just think this a tremendously short sighted decision by KD. This is gonna be a flop. As in, I'm putting money on Warriors getting knocked out in the Confrence Finals next year type of flop.

But I'm looking at it from the "can't beat 'em, join 'em" aspect. The Pistons kicked Jordan's ass 3 years in a row. He kept working and rose above it. OKC had them 3-1 in the Conference Finals! After getting embarrassed like that, blowing that lead, you'd think KD would be keyed up to destroy them this year. It's disappointing to me, it hurts the league and spirit of competition.
