While it would more likely be Scorpion, between him and Sub-Zero who would really be a better fit? Also, this thing with Blizzard, since they're owned by Activision, hurts my theory of Crash Bandicoot being #5 in the pass slightly. I'd say Scorpion would definitely be the better fit. His moveset really isn't hard to make PG - make Toasty just cause an explosion to launch them or something (basically not any different from already watering down Bayonetta and Joker brutally killing them), the Spear isn't really any different from the Hookshot in terms of what it's doing to you, and all kinds of people use swords. With stuff like his flip kick and his teleport Scorpion would give a ton of very Smash Bros.-style tools to work with. Sub-Zero by comparison I think would just be boring. Ice clones in Smash Bros. would be effectively useless, the ice ball if anything would be too powerful, and the slide is his only other special move that's really all that memorable. Plus you don't really have an instant option for a Final Smash like you do with Scorpion. ...and saying all that, I'm picturing the spear being his B move just to have Kirby say "GET OVER HERE!"

Anyone getting Ring Fit Adventure? I will be. Speaking of, going by footage...I could see that being a post fighter's pass Smash character. The Isabelle to Wii Fit Trainer's Villager in a way.

Finally got fed up enough to delete my Nintendolife account. I just can't anymore with how you basically can't even go, "Yeah, I'm not feeling this one aspect of the game," without everyone dogpiling you for not completely tripping over yourself to lavish praise on every single thing Nintendo does.
Tipping point was basically just me responding to someone essentially going, "The wild area in Sword & Shield is big but people keep lying and saying they're not interested! Why don't they just wait to play the game?!" by pointing out that if someone isn't sold on the advertising then that's on the advertiser and that immediately got people dogpiling on me about how I'm obviously bitter over this or that despite not actually saying a thing about my own opinion on the subject (which is mostly just, "Yeah, some stuff announced is neat, some definitely isn't, but really I just want more info because we still know basically nothing."). Just so tired of the constant circlejerk that goes on there.
In general I feel like there's something to be said about toxic positivity. I get that endless bashing on something can get tiring in its own right, but man, there are way too many places on the Internet these days where having the slightest bit of complaint or concern about anything will get people tripping over themselves to declare you a garbage human being.

I get that endless bashing on something can get tiring in its own right, but man, there are way too many places on the Internet these days where having the slightest bit of complaint or concern about anything will get people tripping over themselves to declare you a garbage human being. Nintendo fandom in general feels like trying to wade between camps of irrational defense for the company's decisions, and angry entitlement over what the company isn't doing. There's a lot to praise over Nintendo's approach to certain things, and a great deal to criticize as well. I'm well aware of the fact that my lack of interest in online play for various games is something which has me far less irritated with how they've handled the service than people who do get their fun out of that arena. As such I completely get complaints about that even if it doesn't affect my enjoyment of the Switch as a result. Pokemon right now especially feels deeply poisoned; the National Dex crowd too often leaning into questionable theories about Gen 8's development to uncover supposed deceptions by Game Freak and the other side prone to shouting down anyone who suggests the first HD console Pokemon game on a system that includes the likes of Mario Odyssey and BOTW hasn't done a great deal in its reveals to grab skeptical/unsure fans. I consider myself fairly lucky I'm not a fan of the franchise and those don't really have a dog in the fight.

ESRB has a listing for the Duke Nukem 3D 20th Anniversary version out there.
Surprised we haven't got one sooner.

I really don't know what it is about Tetris 99 themed weekends that brings out the goddamn Tetris Terminators who at any time, even when the match has just started, are able to clear 30 lines on a whim, but it makes trying to get any of these things unbelievably insufferable.

Current rumor is Terry will be added to Smash Friday as this weekend's Spirit Event has SNK spirits involved as well.

Hopefully alongside that event they put the Daemon X Machina ones into the general rotation, I forgot to pick those up and they're the only Spirits I don't have.

In Shitty Game News, a Twitter user decided to hack a budget racing game, "Race with Ryan" (you know, featuring that Ryan's Toys brat whose videos constantly gamed the YouTube algorithm enough to the point where he got a fricking Nick Jr. show out of it) and discovered that there was a texture that the developers put in that wasn't meant to be public of the Ryan model having a bloody face. Now, developers having malice towards a project is nothing new; I mean, one of the developers of one of those recent Bubsy games showed their frustration at the unpopular mascot by hanging a doll and using it as a pincushion. And, to be honest; considering that I view Ryan's Toys as part of the Elsagate slippery slope, I can totally get why the developers would make a texture like this. But, you know; unlike Bubsy, it's an actual person, and this is a terrible thing to do.

So two things related to value. 1)Crypt of the Necrodancer is only $4 right now. Got it, will try more on my next day off from work. 2)Nintendo has revealed some of its Black Friday week deals, including a Switch with free game. happyholidays.nintendo.com/deals/
