I mean, even with Garreg Mach Zelda still has over double the amount of stages Fire Emblem does, it has more music in the base game (though admittedly no longer more with what Byleth's bringing), it has eight times the items, it has over double the Mii costumes, it has a boss while FE doesn't, and it has one more Assist Trophy. Plus I feel like it's pretty unfair to say that Young Link and Toon Link don't count as full characters but Lucina, Chrom, and Roy somehow do. If you don't subtract those then it's just 8 to 6 and if you do subtract all of those then it makes it just a 5-4 split.

I'll start my response with I don't hate Fire Emblem (Even though I've never been able to get into the games I've bought a bunch of them because it is one of the type of games I should like) or the characters getting added I pointed out anyone who hangs up on the "Anime Swordsman" aspect that's not really what they are talking about. I didn't bring up Zelda... some one else did to point out Link/Toon/YL all exist. But if we are going there. 1. Before Ultimate and there EVERYONE IS IN! thing... Young Link appeared exactly once in Melee. Roy is the only Fire Emblem character that has ever been dropped completely and that lasted all of One game. 2. Zelda is literally one of the most popular game series of all time. One of Nintendo Flagships that they have basically had at least one on every one of their consoles. Fire Emblem... isn't. It's popular.... but it's not "sell more copies of agame than console it is on" popular like Zelda is.

Byleth's pretty fun. Might be a FE character I'd use on the reg.

It was less speaking to the argument specifically here and more just it's something I see people complain about a lot in general so wanted to talk about that aspect for a moment. Really I'm just going to leave it at that. Some people mind the Fire Emblem stuff, I'd without hesitation put in more of it given the chance, different strokes.

Finished the spirit set for this. Sothis was a pain as she gets instant final smashes and recovery, but surprisingly took only two turns.
Now to get the spirits I missed out on.

I need the Sword & Shield spirits as well as the Resident Evil ones. Everything else I have.
Also, the spirit that gave me problems was the one with Villager since they just wouldn't die after I got them to like 130%. Still managed to one-shot all of them as Byleth though.

I'm having way more fun than I should be combining the Rabbid head with various costumes and making stupid Bwa puns.

Why'd Marth get 8 more costumes all of a sudden?
In all seriousness, pretty fun to play as.

I'll say this much, while I don't have much interest in Byleth as a character, I'm quite enjoying them as a fighter. Special moves feel impactful, the arrow attack fits right in with my play style, and its nice to have someone from FE (outside Robin) who's Down B isn't a damn counter.
In terms of the Fighter's Pass I think I'd rate them even higher than Joker and Hero, at least in terms of how much fun they are to play, which is not what I would have expected after their reveal.

Decided a few days ago to start playing Super Mario Odyssey again. Today I did this.
For the record, I had to look up how to get a few of the moons. Especially the one with the Luncheon painting.

That aqua green/blue is my favorite color combination. I love how this looks.

Turns out how they're doing New Horizons is that you have one island per Switch, and that each profile is a separate character on the one island. Which really does a lot to kill my interest - pretty needlessly complicates the process of having multiple characters, it means if you do have two Switches and go digital you'd have to buy two copies of the game to have more than one character at a time on the second Switch, and really Animal Crossing would probably be a lot more digestible being able to manage multiple islands at once since if you're really in the mood to play you could just bounce from one to the next to the next doing whatever business is available at the time.
