Honestly, I'm glad Reggie's retiring. Aside from the memes, he made plenty of bad business decisions as the head of NoA because he felt American fans were too dumb or set in their ways to try new things.

You know, I'm not a huge Nintendo fan (hence why I never posted in this thread before) but this video once again shows that they are often class acts. And I think what helps is that many of their leaders and managers are industry veterans. They started out as fans, then began their career small as developers or programmers and stuff like that, then worked their way to the top, so they know the business and its fans inside out. They're not some people who went to business school, have zero knowledge of the industry they joined and yet are convinced that they know better than everybody else, including the people who built this industry, just because they have a diploma in making short-term profits.

Being honest I'm not really sure what Reggie actually, like.... did, considering by all indications Nintendo of Japan makes all the decisions for the whole world and he was basically just a puppet.

In some fitting news, Doug Bowser is his replacement.
That’s a rather fitting name.

That and his stubborn to bring certain games over during the Wii and Wii U era, mostly RPG or niche titles. Remember it was f***ing Gamestop, not NoA that bought the original Xenoblade over here.

I'd laugh if Doug's first official act as NOA president is announcing Mother 3 finally coming to the west.

As with all Switch rumors, take it with a huge grain of salt, but there's been some rumors on the X-Box/Switch developmentsCuphead and Ori on Switch would be nice, but this is the same year that's produced the Star Fox Grand Prix "evidence", Grinch Leak, & announcements that Metroid Prime Trilogy that's always on the verge of being announced; I'm not holding my breath.

I think the biggest difference between those and this one is that there are actual sites out there somewhat confirming it, and even journalists and youtubers have said that there were rumblings of this for at least two months now. This includes French website jeuxvideo that claims that they've been investigating this for a while now. Unlike the other ones that seem to come from "insiders" only (and in the Grinch leak you had the epic GameXplain "that's stupid, we're not covering it" thing going too, which for a Nintendo based channel that's been getting a bit too many things right about games in the Directs, it's a clear red flag).
