Camelot is doing Mario Sports Superstars. Hopefully they were granted more time & freedom instead of that Wii U tennis fiasco. I'm still pulling for other Nintendo characters to appear. Link fits better on a horse instead of cars, the Villager & Wii Fit Trainer would go for athletic events, and I'd freak out if they actually have a Golden Sun reference. Well, it's not like this was announced and launched 2 months later like Mario Tennis Ultra Smash. MSS will launch next year. Granted they were also advertising it as, "Each is a full size game," which probably means it'll be five games with all the non-depth of Ultra Smash. The tennis part looked to be recycled directly from it honestly, appeared to be one of the courts from that game.

Haven't bought a 3DS game since Smash due to losing interest in the system as well as losing both my trigger buttons thanks to MK7, but damn...I can't pass up a Pikmin game.

I really hope the Yokai Watch 2 demo will be way better than the first one. An awesome sequel deserves an awesome demo.

I guess I should try the demo for Yokai Watch 2. First one's demo did nothing to sell me on the game itself, but I was impressed by the quality of the models, environments, and animation. It felt way more like being part of this world than Pokemon ever has and while I didn't really like the demo and don't really like the yokai designs I've seen, playing it I did totally get the appeal.

Well, Federation Force crashed and burned sales-wise in both the UK and Japan, not remotely surprising. And I really need to stop going to Nintendo Life, it can be rather unbearable how any time a Nintendo game sells poorly or gets meh reviews both the comments and the features on site will tell you over and over and over why you're wrong to not buy it or how you'll love the game if you play it correctly or whatever. This one isn't as bad as it was with Star Fox Zero where every single day the top story was something about how misunderstood the game was but it's still obnoxious.
Not that someone is wrong if they do like Zero or Federation Force but... Yeah, neither one's gotten all that great of reviews, both flopped, call a spade a spade.

That means I can play Federation Force under $15 soon. And unlike Other M, I do want to play it because I want to.

Also, as someone who's already played the second one in Japanese, it's waaaaaaaaaaay better than the first one. The story is good and all those classic yokai are super awesome. Also, WAY EASIER to befriend yokai.

Speaking of the original Yo-Kai Watch demo, I'm looking at getting a new 3DS next week and was thinking of getting Yo-Kai Watch with it but I really didn't much care for the demo. Would you guys still recommend it?

Speaking of the original Yo-Kai Watch demo, I'm looking at getting a new 3DS next week and was thinking of getting Yo-Kai Watch with it but I really didn't much care for the demo. Would you guys still recommend it? If you can get it cheap, sure. It's a fun game, but it's a slow progression because sometimes you have to catch certain Yo-Kai, and the whole process of befriending them is so spotty. For example, it took me 2 hours to get a Mochismo needed for fusion because the whole mechanics of friendship were so spotty. Frankly, it's better than Pokemon in the regard that it's a world builder. You have an environment and you get immersed into it because you get to explore virtually every part of the city and the areas outside of it, whereas in Pokemon, it feels more like the places you go are merely stop gaps or checkpoints. Plus, the characters, by and large, have backstories and you get some explanation as to why they are the way they are, such as Jibanyan being a good meaning but bumbling cat yokai who wanted to get stronger because he felt he let his owner down... {Spoiler}though, in the anime, it was revealed it was the other way around, where SHE felt like she let her cat down. I'm excited to get both versions for my birthday, and am curious about the third game, which should come here late 2017 if things go well.

The "You aren't playing it right!" argument is the weirdest thing. Except for Metal Gear Rising where I actually wasn't playing it right due to iffy tutorials.

Whoooole lot of don't care going on for me with that one. Don't remotely get the appeal of runners anyway, and really I don't even see the point with this one, seems like there would be way more money in making a conventional Mario platformer for cellphones with one free world and then a bunch of add-on ones. I'm sure the average Mario platformer these days only takes like 20 minutes to make anyway, they could crank those out endlessly.

Probably because platformer like Mario don't work well with a touch screen control setup. I own the Sonic 2 port for my Galaxy S4 and it pretty much unplayable due to it.

yeah Platforming on an iphone is terrible. I think that the reason why Nintendo is still successful with their handheld in the mobile gaming era. Some genres doesn't work with mobile gaming. Games like Pokémon, Fire Emblem, Animal Crossing and Mario Party could work well on mobile but not games like Mario Bros, Zelda or Metroid.
