...do you usually end up talking to the characters and whatnot?
I do that alot, just now I was watching The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and I said stuff like:
"Maaan...you better leave him behind!"
"Dont be sitting down now!" (The girl actually sat down on the couch next to a door that she put there to block Leatherface from getting in, that chainsaw coulda busted through at any second and sliced her up)
And..."God damn that dude can run fast!" (Leatherface runs really fast for a dude with a chainsaw)
I guess I can be that dude that sits behind you in the movies sometimes and keeps telling the characters what to do. I usually try not to there...

Meh....that's fine at home, but annoys the hell outta me in theaters. I just feel like the movie is fine as is, no need for someone three rows back to do running play-by-play.

I only do play by play when me and a group of friends go to the theater on sunday when its pretty much dead. Too bad that only happened once and after that I learned they have terrible taste in movies.

I have seen a movie before. More than one to be exact.
Weird.
Oh, about making a quip or two during a major motion picture, I do. But only when dialogue isn't being spoken. Don't want to miss important plot points.

I might joke around for friends if either A)the theater is empty or B) at home with friends.
I wouldn't talk to a movie alone because it's kinda stupid and I don't really have an impulse to.....who am I joking around for? My pets?
F*** them, they can make their own jokes (one's a parrot so maybe he could)......

Any time I've ever seen any horror-ish movie in theaters, there's always a large group of black guys
"OH HELLZ NAW DONT GO IN THERE DAWG!" "OH SHE DEAD YOU KNOW SHE DEAD" etc etc. My black friends have told me its a "black thing"......HEY STOP YELLING "THATS RACIST" AT ME, LITTLE SIG KID! I DIDNT SAY IT, THEY DID!

...do you usually end up talking to the characters and whatnot? No. But then again I'm not an idiot. ;D I do sometimes end up talking to the director. Like with TCM, I was so insulted by it's crappiness that I yelled at Tobe Hooper he should get another line of work or talent. But that's about it.

I've made the mistake of watching a Michael Bay movie in the past. I don't make the same mistake twice (hence the single status).

Myself, I'm usually shaking my head in disgust because most horror films are trash, and insult my intelligence.

The thing with horror movies is that you can't trust anyones opinions about them. Movie critics think they all suck, friends usually think every bad movie is good, internet people think the worst movies ever are great cult classics even though they blow.......Horros movies ftl.

With the new TCM (which I was watching pieces of yesterday, too), I wind up yelling at myself more for watching it. What a hatchet job that was.
But yeah, I've been known to dispence advice to movie characters now and then. Dammit, though, they never listen.

Isn't this true about everything, at least the 'can't trust anyone's opinion' part? You gotta make your mind up yourself about everything. But then again, since you think my favorite cult classics are the worst movies ever, I guess your opinion doesn't matter either.

I, too, am guilty of doing color commentary during horror films. Since, horror films do not scary, I go into either full Jesse Ventura mode or Bobby the Brain mode. Sadly, I have no Gorilla Monsoon.

The original isn't that great..... Good sure but not god like status.

With friends, yes. By myself... well, I don't normally watch movies alone.
