How I wish he had been successful in setting Jameson on fire! Ok, not really, but f*** Jameson. That guy was beyond useless.

I swear he talked a bit here and there. Not when Fuji was managing him (which ended when he vanished a bit before Yokozuna debuted and Fuji went with the new look), but afterwards.....and not even a promo, yust some yelling in between HUSSes. All I remember about the Berzerker is that he was supposedly the one who stood guard while Nailz went at Vince. Was always shocked he wasn't let go for that, or at least majorly "punished" (not, like, legit hurt or something, just embarrassed with a surprise loss) in a match.

I was very young when he was around, but I never really took him seriously. I thought he was an idiot because he won all his matches by count out, therefore in my little mind, I knew he was no threat to win any titles. So I kind of dismissed him.

For those who care I did in fact see that canceled WM 8 Bulldog/Berserker match at my very first live show, an Oct. 28, 1992 TV taping. I think Bulldog left the company about a week later. Bulldog went over clean with the power slam.
In a way I can see why the WM match was canceled. After all, if Berserker was going to feud with Taker after WM it wouldn't make much sense for him to do a clean job to Bulldog. Nor would it make sense for DBS to job to him since he was destined to face Bret at SS.

In other cases they tend to do cancelled PPV matches relatively soon after the PPV. 2) So this was while Davey Boy was still IC champ, I take it? Because IIRC his last match was when he dropped the IC title to Michaels in late October/early November...

No, DBS lost the IC the previous night to Shawn Michaels at the SNME taping. Keep in mind I was a huge, massive Bulldog fan in 1992 so you can only imagine how horrified I was to hear this news at that TV taping.
WWF in 1992 was the epitome of why there needed to be some sort of KOTR PPV. There were so many feuds post WM and pre SS that just never had any actual TV payoff. Bulldog/Repo Man was one, Berserker/UT another, LOD/Beverlys, etc.

One thing the workers of Today could take from the man: when life gives you a stupid gimmick, go all in.
John Nord WAS the Berserker, dumb as it was.
He didn't get a Wrestlemania win over Hogan or nothing, but he got around and got paid.

Another Berzerker quote....he did once paraphrase A Christmas Story ("You're either a Berzerker, or one of the nameless rabble of victims.")

He should have worn pants. Considering how real life Berzerkers would sometimes charge into battle naked, we were lucky on our end.
