Ok, we're at less than a month's time until that most holy day of days, Halloween, and the question that needs askin' is this: what are you, gentle viewer, doing to get into the spirit?
Over here, I'm getting some cash together to make a run to the bookstore to pick up some nice scare-reading material. Probably a Lovecraft collection, maybe Red Dragon (by Thomas Harris), and Max Brooks' zombie books (Zombie Survival Handbook; World War Z).
Also gotta get some viewing material for the house in order, preferably funny/scary movies like Club Dread, Evil Dead/Army of Darkness, or American Werewolf in London, and maybe some legit scaries like The Exorcist, or Nosferatu (if I can find a copy). Ooh, and I just found my old copy of "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown", so that might need some viewin'.
After that...the costume. My female housemates (there are six of us, four guys, two girls...college, what can you do) want us all to be Smurfs, but I dunno if I could really rock the blue. I was hoping to either be a stereotypical 80's TV cop, like Crockett from Miami Vice, or maybe a Ghostbuster...regardless, it's my senior year, so I want it to be something really good. I better take care of this one quick.

My Halloween is a big bag of M&Ms, wearing cat ears and watching the Dirty Pair Halloween special as well as the Beavis and Butthead Halloween special  I've done that 10 years running now |

If I end up going to a party, I'll probably be one of three things.
a) Pirate
b) thirties era gangster
or
c) resurrect my costume from last year, Zack Morris.
We'll see. really depends on if I have to work or not. What day does the 31st fall on?

Halloween is not really celebrated down here (Just really by Kids wanting to score some free sweeties).
But I will eat a lot of candy out of respect.

buying extremely revealing and sexy outfit for the girlfriend, and i'll probably end up being a caveman or a barbarian. Also getting the house super spooky with talking heads at the front door and of course the return of talking Crypt Keeper I'm going to this with my gf: WHOA KAMALA'S MUSIC DEBUT! I'm going of course to Knott's Halloween Haunt, nothing like eating some dippin' dots while some wolf guys skids on the floor for no reason and accidently falls into the bushes. |

Maybe go see this one band play with some friends. And if I decide to wear a costume, I'll just take a sharpie on my hands and doodle some X's and say I'm CM Punk. It seems cheap enough. And then after that, come to the place of residence and watch the same Halloween classic I do every year, Frankenweenie. |
