I liked there hell in a cell matches and that one iron man match they did. Those were fine, I just think given the amount of times they've competed against each other, it hasn't really produced a lot of matches I'd point to as great ones. Still, good examples of their work, even if I tend to like them better against other people. Yeah I know what you mean. It also made it stranger when Cena said Orton is his favorite opponent and this generations HBK. Like Orton is a hell of a wrestler and I'd imagine he's one of the easiest guys to work with but he doesn't often put out amazing matches.

I think Cena and Orton have good enough chemistry, it's just that feud was (and sometimes continues to be) a relentless assault that would have been a task to go through no matter who was involved.

The whole match at Royal Rumble '14. There was no reason for them to have a match after Bragging Rights, so seeing this fall apart this bad was satisfying. That was a little sad because they were working their butts off to have a good match, and the crowd just DID NOT give a shit. They were just one big group of NOPE!

The Cena/Orton staredown thing is they think a Shield staredown is. The problem is with the Shield all 3 have to be in the ring, when that happens it's magical. This? Nah, this is some manufactured stuff that doesn't work well.

None of them were my "favorite".
I think Cena and Orton DO have good chemistry when given the opportunity, I'm pretty sure I'm one of the few people who enjoyed their Iron Man match (Orton's pyro murder spot and all).
All of their poor crowd reactions together have made me sad. They're both hella talented and it isn't their fault in the slightest that WWE decided to be stupid and run a potentially great thing into the ground.

It was a boring rivalry yet, thanks to the WWE production team, this makes it look like one of the greatest rivalries ever.

Yeah I don't think their chemistry is actually pretty good. It's hard to appear like you have good chemistry when the crowd isn't compelled to care. And I agree about WWE's role in that. They just kept going back to this feud. Heck the fall of 2009 could've been a 3-4 year arch and they did the whole damn thing in like 10 weeks!

It's gotta be the Title Ceremony. Everyone's screaming Bryan's name, Cena and Orton trying and failing to ignore it, Triple H talking about how it's the biggest match in WWE history while Punk laughs. Almost everyone in that ring knew no one gave a shit about the match. Did Cena really ignore it? I remember him acknowledging it and Bryan and using it to actually get people to cheer his promo at the end.

Yeah I remember Cena acknowledging it, and I remember Mark Henry before that raising Bryan's hand in the air and making the "cut" motion with his hand across his throat, in the hope the crowd would stop chanting after the pop - bless the guy for trying, but they continued on even after that.

Royal Rumble 2011, they were trying so hard to make this feud on par with Rock/Austin but the fans weren't buying it.

Almost everyone in that ring knew no one gave a shit about the match. I think the point at which Punk laughed was when Hunter was proclaiming himself the greatest champion in history (or Steph was proclaiming him to be) like a big arrogant heel, so at least it made sense in kayfabe, even if it was probably a genuine 'what the f*** are these idiots doing?' reaction. It was Stephanie doing a massive oversell of Triple H's greatness as champion,

The whole match at Royal Rumble '14. There was no reason for them to have a match after Bragging Rights, so seeing this fall apart this bad was satisfying. It was right in the perfect storm of madness of fans hoping to see Daniel Bryan be in the Rumble itself after being in the opening match, and being faced with the reality of somebody like Batista winning. Not to mention how heatless Cena vs. Orton was (recall that this was the match that had a segment where Cena chased Orton, who ran away from a car during an awkward backstage segment as the go-home bit before this match). He ran away from Cena and jacked someone's car because they did yet another Orton beats up Cena Sr. segment with the hyper contrived plot point that Cena Sr. had a ticket and was there for the whole show while Cena Jr. only arrived at the building after the attack took place and chased Orton in anger. Cena would then lose that match because of, at that point, random Wyatts. Also, as far as I know, Cena and Orton have wrestled each other four times since the "last time ever, we promise" match in 2009: - TLC 2013 - Royal Rumble 2014 - Raw 2014 - Hell in a Cell 2014 Am I missing any others?

Doing the "last time, promise guys!" when both guys are in their primes in 2009 was beyond stupid. Like it wouldn't have been a stretch to know both of them would be around another 10 years back then.
