Or people who were only in one film, had one hit, etc. Ever watch a film on TV and see an actor and think to yourself "I wonder what they're up to now?". So you go to IMDB/Wikipedia/Google or wherever to look them up, only to discover they're dead?
I was looking at he IMDB page for the film Road Trip and saw that Mia Amber Davis had died. She played Rhonda, who was the plus-sized, black love interest of one of the characters. I never saw her in anything else (and by looking at her other credits, never even heard of anything else she was in) but for some reason I was pretty shocked to see she had died.
(I'm not trying to make this a depressing thread regardless of the subject matter. Just wanted to hear of similar experiences people had).

Either Ducky from the first Land Before Time (You said NOT to make this a depressing thread, so I have no desire to elaborate), or Jack Nance from Eraserhead.

I didn't mean you couldn't make It depressing, especially if some of the people had a pretty grim exit from this world. I meant more I wasn't trying to deliberately make it depressing, even though given the subject, it's hard not to.

Still, it's really unfortunate, the actress and her mother were murdered by her dad, so yeah. Pretty grim.

I was very surprised when recently I did a random google search on one of the ugliest Footballers ever, Trifon Ivanov of Bulgaria and seen he had died of a heart attack and the beginning of this year.

I was thinking about all the actors from Norman Lear sitcoms who had passed on, and i checked wikipedia to see which ones were still alive, but shocked to find that Esther Rolle and Bonnie Franklin were dead.

I started watching old CHIKARA shows and and one person that grabbed my attention was Sweet N' Sour Larry Sweeney. So Yesterday I looked him up only to realize he died 5 years ago.

The opposite of this, some time last year I was reading stuff about Dallas which got me wondering when George Kennedy died. Turned out he was still alive at the time and didn't die until six months ago.

Eighties Indycar driver Jim Crawford, best known for his exploits with the Buick V6 in the 1988 Indy 500. Worse then that is finding out that he passed away 14 years ago.

I recently watched Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers again and couldn't believe it when I found out Trini/Thui Trang/the original Yellow Ranger was dead.
