I am uneasy with public shaming of a first time wellness failure, scale back his push, sure, but don't humiliate the guy for his first offence. I get the backlash when for the last two years, they were like "You're the New John Cena!"

If this was anyone else, they wouldn't even go through the effort. If Zack Ryder or Heath Slater failed wellness, they aren't going out of their way to give him an excess amount of screen time to take the piss out of him. This public shaming is entirely based on the fact that Roman was supposed to be the chosen one. There are lots of guys who wish they could be buried the way Roman is being buried.

It's quite amazing really to see two polar opposite reactions to this segment among the forums I visit. Here it's always seems that people react with complete and utter glee any time Roman Reigns get shit on by virtually anyone within the WWE (or elsewhere for that matter). On another forum the members see this nonsense exactly for what it is. Raw has been extremely uncomfortable for me to watch for the past month because of the public shaming (i've mostly tuned in for the New Day vs Wyatt segments). And for what? Adderall? Good lord. Have they publicly shamed Brock yet? No? I won't bother to hold my breath until they do. Maybe you need to stop watching wrestling because this has been going on for the longest time. This didn't start 1 month ago. Perhaps I should. *shrugs* Certainly wouldn't be the first time. And you're absolutely right. WWE has treated their performers of color like shit since it's inception. Doesn't mean we should just kee-kee and shrug our shoulders and say 'welp!' to it though.

The month of shaming while he wa suspended and having him take the finish at Battleground fine. The continued public shaming on Raw and people getting glee in his losing is absurd. He will come back strong eventually and people will be pissed about that. Simple speaking this is the worst they can do to Roman since he's full time. I want them to continue build Lesnar up so when Randy beats him that's the end of the super long and they can move on from that as well.

What I want is for Roman to chuck the 'E deuces when his contract runs out. They've mismanaged his run ever since the Shield broke up and when he f***s up ONCE they browbeat, humiliate and publicly punish him for days on end. There's absolutely no way this isn't affecting his mental health let alone his morale. And when it comes to Brock... smh. I was a huge Brock stan for years. He had the gall to shame Jones and Roman at a press conference only to turn around and get popped himself. But the 'E is still trying to paint him as this unstoppable monster and mopping his piss under the rug. It's ridiculous. Utterly ridiculous. I'd like Randy to beat him at SS but again... not holding my breath.

I'm just a bit puzzled that there was a little bit of an uproar when he was supposedly made to apologize to the locker room off camera, but being shit on about it on live TV is cool. I know that people are happy that his push is going to be scaled back and since this is an 'appreciation' thread I won't try to poop on anyone's parade, but damn.

He's eating crow and will be right back in a prominent position soon enough. I'm not as mad about the losses because they've actually been the advantage of others instead of haha u lost. They are using his previous booking to give others a rub which is fine but this should go no further than Summerslam Brock I give a 50/50 chance of losing. I think they are building him up in order for Randy to take him out and get some heat back which is the only punishment u can give Lesnar.

I like to imagine that Stephanie blames all her problems on Roman Reigns. Stuck in traffic, toast lands butter side down, long queue for the ladies toilets? Roman's fault. "Roman Reigns moved my stair muffin!"

the logical progression of this is Roman says to hell with you and turns heel.
But the logical progression was he should have turned heel months ago.

It needed this song playing in the background: Listening to that song while looking at the contemptuous, disgusted facial expression of CAPTAIN AMERICA in your avatar is a glorious, twisted, surreal experience.

As much fun as it is, there's still too much attention spent on him. They are telling the story that he is low just so he will come back and be Da Guy by Mania.

The only reason that they're dialing back on Roman is because they're still obsessed with giving him that perfect WrestleMania Moment TM.

The biggest heel in the company by a large margin, Stephanie McMahon, is calling him a loser on TV cause he lost the belt. The last time this happened, the two people involved were named Austin and Vince.

The greatest invincible monster heel of our time GETS CHEERED for running down Roman Reigns. He has no goodwill with crowds anymore.

But I'm sure in their wrong-head of theirs, they still thinks it's gonna give him sympathy.

the logical progression of this is Roman says to hell with you and turns heel. But the logical progression was he should have turned heel months ago. Months? More like 18 months ago. I think they are going all reverse psychology on this by burying him in hopes that people rallied harder for guys like Bryan and Ambrose when they got buried, but they are still considering all options except the heel turn.

The only reason that they're dialing back on Roman is because they're still obsessed with giving him that perfect WrestleMania Moment TM. Nah, I think its because he is of value. He is. He does have charisma, he's got a great look, hes not that bad in the ring (especially with good workers) and hes a bonafide main eventer. Its the forced push and reluctance to turn him heel that has hurt him. One of those seems out the window. Pull the trigger on the other.
