That dive by Mata has be carded. He went down and anyone with two eyes could see there was no contact.
A dive that has to be given a booking. Even if it has to retroactively given. That's the only way you're going to stop that bullshit.

The depth issue is something you can solve pretty easily, Arsene. It's called the transfer window.

Amazing match at the Emirates. A very touching 90 minute tribute to the Southampton academy.

Wenger's post match interview had a "Vader after losing to Kane" vibe to it.

Shameless self promotion alert, but in my latest Youtube top 10 I have taken a look at the lowest and most embarassing moments for the England National Team, and yes a certain game from this summer is on the list:

My arsehole tightened pretty rapidly when Coutinho looked to have done his hamstring earlier, luckily, it was just cramp. Don't want another season of hamstring injuries.

I hope not, I had enough of those last season when my dirtbox was tightening seemingly every game as another player pulled a hamstring.

Did Gary Neville apologise for accusing Coutinho of play acting as he was brought limping off? Not even close to us. Finland was once close to qualifying to World Cup playoffs, all we had to do was hold on to a lead during the added time in the last game of the group stage of qualifications. Ended up scoring an own goal after a comedy of errors. Check it out, it can be found on youtube by searching for Finland - Hungary 1997.

Earlier in the weekend, Dorus de Vries signed a two year deal with Celtic.

There'll be hell to pay if Dalian Atkinson wasn't armed or threatening the police. At first glance it sounds very heavy handed.

I get that Anthony Taylor didn't have the benefit of slo-mo, but that's a certainly a second yellow here, no?

Just been browsing through the PL clubs' Wikipedia pages, I can remember last season there being a bit of a furore last season when Victor Valdes wasn't given a squad number at Manchester United, and over a decade before that when Ruud Gullit refused to give Rob Lee a squad number at Newcastle. The media and a lot of fans deemed it the height of disrespect to a player. It seems this season almost every other club has players who've been stripped of squad numbers. {Spoiler}Bournemouth Tokelo Rantie
Chelsea Marko Marin, Marco van Ginkel, Patrick Bamford
Everton Luke Garbutt, Aiden McGeady, Oumar Niasse, Leandro Rodríguez
Leicester Ben Hamer, Yohan Benalouane, Richie De Laet, Liam Moore, Gökhan Inler, Tom Lawrence
Liverpool Luis Alberto
Manchester United Tyler Blackett, Guillermo Varela, James Wilson
Middlesbrough Mustapha Carayol
Sunderland Liam Bridcutt, Jordi Gómez, Charalampos Mavrias It's interesting to see how other clubs still give squad numbers to players who no longer figure in first-team plans (like Arsenal, with Szczęsny retaining the #1 shirt despite having no future at the club), while the above have seemingly taken the "f*** you, we're not even wasting a shirt on you this year" approach.
