Holy crap...that post-match segment with Triple H was all kinds of amazing. Absolutely speechless. I love everything about this episode.

Commentary did a great job, with Bryan in particular just selling the hell out of the match.

Also Kota Ibushi's selling is nasty he makes everything look like it hurt.

Also that slap?
It wasn't a good slap. It wasn't a bad slap. It was the slap your momma/grandma gave you when you got out of line.

Whoever came up with the idea of airing that segment after showing the line up for next week, rather than before, deserves a pat on the back and a firm handshake.

I said it before the match started that this would quite possibly be the best match that we're gonna see in this entire tournament, and even with that being said, I was just completely blown away, I've still got chills from it.
The ending with Triple H coming out and basically confirming that Cedric is getting a deal was just the cherry on top of the awesome sundae.

There was a lot of hype going into this match and it delivered imo. The only real mess up was the frankensteiner that wasn't actually connected but they moved along and the little botch didn't hinder the match what so ever.

Not four stars, not five stars. All the stars. I don't know how you guys were posting while the match was going on, because I know I couldn't take my eyes off the screen. Kota's the man and Cedric showed out like nothing I've seen him do before. That freaking slap/chop and the crowd reaction to it were ridiculous, and I bit so hard on one of the false finishes towards the end.
Cedric never got this kind of love in ROH, so I'm really pumped he's getting it now. Dude is a star.

Brainbuster, kick out, head kick, kick out was one of the most awesome near falls in a long time. I didn't see spoilers, but I figured going in Ibushi had it in the bag. That series of moves made me bite hard and I thought it was over!
And that post match... Right in the feels again. The CWC is so damn good!

Really great match, and the last 4 matches (starting with Gallagher/Aichner last week) have all been very impressive after a bit of a lag.

Still think Gargano and Ciampa was a better match, but it had the privilege of lots of story behind it. Ibushi vs. Ced is one of the best "little-to-no story" matches I have ever seen.
Some of the best near falls ever done.

It was the best match it could possibly be with very little build going into it. The hype paid off in spades with this contest. I can't say enough good things about it.

That was a 5 star match!
I don't care what Dave Meltzer will end up rating it.

I think the added bonus of the fact these CWC matches feel like they can end without a "finisher" helps with the tension. You never know how these matches will end and the performers don't have to rely on finisher fests to increase it.

I felt bad at first for Kota/Ced having to follow the 4-star+ Tajiri/Metalik match but 10 minutes into the main event everything else evaporated like green mist
