So it was a work. Because goddamn, Brock looked like he was going to kill him. Not really he just hits a few hard elbows then throws a bunch of weak looking punches to the arm and back seriously how did anyone think in their right mind that any of that could have been a shoot if Brock wanted to shoot he could literally kill Orton and Orton would have tried to at least fight back after Brock was pulled off or for that matter why would Shane of all people come out and get in the face of Lesnar they would just send security there is no way they would send out the son of the owner to confront a shooting Brock. Not so much as a shoot but as a unplanned ending. I thought Brock hit Randy TOO hard and they had to call it for safety purposes.

Since Brock's deal is this "I'm really MMA ya'll", have his two opponents start "MMA training" to counter what Lesnar is doing, but to no avail. Who will defeat Brrrrock Lesnar??? Enter Kevin Owens Cut a promo essentially saying "All of these people are trying to beat you at your own game. Well guess what? I believe in pro wrestling, and I'm going to beat you as a pro wrestler." Some fans will take this as generic pandering to the smarks, but oh no. When the match happens, Owens proceeds to cheat his ass off and use every battle-tested pro wrestling trick in the book. Eye gouges, back rakes, choking on the ropes, grabbing the tights, feet on the ropes, foreign object in the tights, a f***ing FIREBALL, just every shit tactic possible. It works and takes Lesnar out of his game, Owens eventually scoring the win after the third low blow of the match and a (non package) piledriver. The story being, that pro wrestling is a superior fighting discipline to mixed martial arts. Sakuraba already set the precedent for the power of professional wrestling, so I'm all for it.

Sorry i was snappy with my response but i wasn't really referring to you specifically on the shoot part it just seems like it was floating around last night and a little bit today.

Booking wise it made sense to me. Whereas John Cena lost clean, Orton probably didn't want to take the L so after he got in his 2 RKO's (thus had a chance to defeat Brock while looking strong) he gets TKO'd aka has to give up the fight due to his body 'giving up' but not his spirit. Keeps him looking strong.
Just like if someone passes out in a submission hold. Or in (as in HHH's case) if Brock breaks your arm in the Kimura Lock and you can't continue the match. It's a way of winning by kicking too much ass, making Brock look like a Beast and 'technically' not giving the loser any negative rub.

Meltz confirmed what we got was the planned ending and Brock was supposed to cut him open. I was mad at Brock for being a clumsy oaf but now I am mad at the writers for being clumsy oafs. Why did they think it was a good idea to have 2 non-matches end the ppv?
