What's the big deal? He wasn't abysmal when he got to wrestle those few singles matches when Enzo was concussed and he gets a rub from just being in the match. I think it's actually pretty smart booking.

Why not? It's a big step for Cass and a good chance to show that he can deliver in a main event match.

I like Big Cass and all, but Sami deserves this spot and it's embarrassing that the company is overlooking him. Cass is 7 feet tall. You've gotta overlook everyone to see him.

I think it's actually pretty smart booking. Vince likes him so I guess we have to hate him. I don't mind, he might not be 100% ready but he's probably not gonna win anyways, he's decent in the ring, good talker, he's a new face, his personality isn't different every week like Reigns, and with Enzo as the Heyman to his Lesnar definitely helps his case.

This thread is a perfect example of why I don't spend much time here anymore.
Cass is over, Cass is solid in the ring and fun on the mic. Cass is a fresh face. There is nothing wrong with mixing him in with the main event talent in a fun fatal four way match that he is not going to win.
Just because he's in this match does not mean he is getting a rocket push to the moon. It's no different than the recent Smackdown six-man contenders match having Apollo and Corbin in it. It's never been a wild or crazy idea to have midcard guys mingle with main event guys to diversify things and at least create the illusion of a bigger pool of contenders.
This board has gotten so negative and cynical lately that instead of enjoying a talented over guy getting a little chance to work with some more established people, we immediately turn on the hate machine and find reasons to complain about it.

They protected the hell out of him last night and showed that had he not gotten injured he could have beaten the man most likely to get the title. That is far better than being another body in a multi man match that he'd lose for no reason. Hell, after last night I think he's in line to be Seth's first challenger for the title.

I think it is a side effect of past booking, for years now see refused to mingle the main event and mid card outside of straight squashes

So, not sure if this has been a point of conversation. But, Cass sounds like a 5 year old on the mic. Is this the case for anyone else?

He doesn't sound natural like he's reading rehearsed lines. The charisma comes out when him and Enzo interact but when they have him "stand alone" he still doesnt sound natural. However, that will all come in time since he gets mic work everyweek

Let's not kid ourselves: Cass is just a wild card. It's going to be Rollins again or Attempt At Making The Guy #495959868

I like it when guys who aren't necessarily main event get world title shots here and there. Out of the four he'd be my second choice to win it after Owens.

I don't get why someone like Big Cass would get a shot instead of a Sami Zayn or Cesaro, but whatever. We all might as well prepare ourselves now for the inevitable Big Cass megapush that is absolutely coming.

We all might as well prepare ourselves now for the inevitable Big Cass megapush that is absolutely coming. To eat a pin. Sami was protected in the Seth match and Cesaro is currently jobbing to a guy whose gimmick is 'redheaded stepchild on steroids.' Anyway, I am excited to see Cass mix it up with people he doesn't normally wrestle. He will very obviously eat a pin.
