Chris Benoit was an amazing technician and I am thankful I can still watch his matches on the Network.
Deadman Undertaker>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Bikertaker.
I am still a huge fan of Kane in any incarnation - and the Katie Vick storyline WAS salvageable.
Ryback should have won Million Dollar TE... or Dan Rodimer when he still had a character.
Ultimate Warrior, no matter how good he looked and the energy brought to the ring, would not last long in the modern era.
IF you've seen one Ric Flair match, you've seen most of em, especially against Sting.
I still like Roman Reigns, I just want to clobber whoever wrote his promos.
People complain about Lesnar's behavior now, I was saying the same things about Austin 10+ years ago.

I'm actually agreeing with quite a few of these. I think Chris Benoit is horrible for what he did and I wish he never did do it, but damn his matches were good. I'd call him one of my top five favorites, but because of what he did in the end I am simply unable to do that. I think Haku tough guy stories are really played out. Like literally every thread seems to have "I bet Meng would destroy him" "he wouldn't mess with Meng." Beating up drunk guys and biting a dude's nose ain't impressive to me, sorry. I hate how wrestlers nowadays aren't presented as dangerous badasses. It's not even an Attitude Era thing, either. They were still cool and tough before then. Flippy indy wrestling is super boring to me. I "ooh ahh" at the spots sometimes, but most the time I just roll my eyes at the stupid ones. While there's many great wrestlers on the WWE roster, Dean Ambrose is the one who should be in that Stone Cold/John Cena roll. He just has the right amount of everything. Sasha Banks is overrated. NXT was pretty cool for a while, but sometimes it feels like they can do literally anything and everyone praises it way too much. And lastly, I never really wish anything like this, but at this point, I wish Roman Reigns would just retire. Go back to playing football, try acting, just get away from my wrestling.

Other than the fact that it's dangerous (which is a big deal) there is nothing wrong or silly about the gif where the one wrestler superplexes another and then suplexes him again out of the ring. You can do things like that and still have good psychology. The only thing that gets in the way of the psychology of a match is if things happen that violate the rules set earlier in the match.

A Jim Cornette booked show in 2016 would be far better then Lucha Underground. I was just going to say something similarly complimentary about Cornette, but yours is better.

David Von Erich was never destined for anything bigger than main-eventing his dad's promotion. If Fritz had successfully lobbied for an NWA run, it would have led to a short reign and little significance, and would have bombed everywhere but Dallas. Talented as he was, the dude was fugly, just looked damn awkward and he. could. not. talk. David's considered the best on the mic out of the family, but that's about as back-handed a compliment as can be.
Depending on which side of the 'McMahon is the devil' fence you sit on - Vince McMahon did not kill territory wrestling. Territory wrestling killed itself, with aid from cable TV. Even if Vince didn't exist, the territories were doomed. Verne quickly fell behind the times and never recovered. That isn't McMahon, that's all Verne. He lost Hogan? Oh well, he ended up with the Road Warriors, and settled on having them going toe to toe with...Crusher? Bruiser? LARRY Hennig? Baron Von flippin' Rashke? UWF? Allegedly, the economy got them, so that was probably happening regardless, with or without their ill-fated attempt to expand. Crockett? His overspending forced him to sell four years after the expansion wars started. Even if he'd lasted longer, his checkbook was going into Heyman Hyperdrive regardless. World Class? Not happening. Even beyond the family tragedy, Fritz was hesitant to expand and it cost him. Also, the Von Erich family happens, one way or the other. Florida? It had died the minute Eddie Graham did. Central States was already basement level before Vince came along. St Louis and Houston were almost entirely dependent on the others. Detroit, San Fran, LA, WWA had all already died. Memphis lasted as long as it did because of magic fairy dust or something. I have no real way to explain Tennessee. That goes for the promotion located there, as well. Canadian territories...actually may have survived a bit longer than the rest, given the geographical limitations of things like cable tv at that point in time. But overall, territories were already starting to die off, and cable would be the nail in the coffin.

Ric Flair is awful is high in the running for the most overrated wrestler ever. People pick apart the work of everyone else, between wrestlers and fans, except for Bret Hart and probably Shane Douglas, no one calls out that Flair really wasn't very good.
Bret Hart is better than people mock for him thinking how great he is.
Joey Styles is the single reason I can't get into ECW. He's f***ing terrible.

Justin Credible was pretty credible as a singles wrestler and ECW world champ. I don't think he was a main event talent anywhere else, but given the ECW roster situation at the time he was a very good choice for the obnoxious heel champion. Plus he consistently bust his ass in ECW, his match with Sabu from Anarchy Rulz 99 is one of the best hardcore-style matches going.

While the internet at the time was gushing over him, I could never buy into Bradshaw: Main Eventer and World Champion. The gimmick was mid-card at best, which is why when he was shuffled down into the US title picture, I had zero problem with it, because to me, that's where he'd belonged the whole time. I actually stopped watching Smackdown during his WWE title run because it bored me to tears.

If the gimmick was lost on you, I'll give you a hint as to a big part of why he was a very over heel: his stable was called the Cabinet. For obvious reasons, got to be a little coy here.

Bret Hart was solid, but that's about it. He had charisma more befitting a mailman This is making me laugh really hard.
