I hope the entire Last Battle Of Atlanta show will be uploaded (feat. Road Warriors, Orndorff, Ole...) It'd be far less likely they have the WHOLE SHOW in this case, especially considering the current story is "Paul Ellering had a copy of this match" (and the related whispers people are claiming of Ellering may have traded the tape of the Last Battle of Atlanta for his run in NXT and/or a Rachael Ellering run for them)- those would say more to claim that the match is all they could get.

Match goes under 15 mins, quite bloody but nothing could live up to the legend.
Lack of commentary to sell the drama hurt I'd wager
Ole vs Ellering goes way longer than I expected, and is a good ass kicking.

10/11/2000 – Samoa Joe vs William Regal In a sign of things to come, Triple H travels to Ultimate Pro Wrestling to witness William Regal face future NXT Champion, Samoa Joe. Say what now!??!? UPW was affiliated with WWF at the time, it's where they found Cena. I don't think it was a full-on developmental the way Memphis, OVW and DSW were but they were doing some sort of work together, and stuff like this happened a couple of times. It's odd to see their listing play up that Kane was Unabomb; have they ever really acknowledged any of Kane's pre-Kane gimmicks as him in-canon like that before? Seeing Ali on the listings, while it's not considered lost, one rarely-seen bit I'd love for them to add to this is the Jake Roberts/Ali confrontation from Mid-South.

Yeah I watched Last Battle as well and was surprised to see the Ole/Ellering deal afterwards go about as long as the match itself. Of that 28 minutes about 14 went to each. Usually they just do the whole "5 minutes with the manager" bit. I have no frame of reference for this so I wish there was an intro. Had Ellering been screwing Ole Anderson leading to this? I thought Ole and Rich were mostly enemies in Georgia?
As a match it wasn't anything special. Typical bloody 80s southern brawl. I'd be interested in the Lawler vs. Idol match with Rich doing the run in, from 1987. I want some old Memphis footage, WWE!

The Piper/Brisco match starts with a great Piper promo to set it up, but the match itself is 75% headlocks. I'm torn.
Edit: and an AMAZING, HILARIOUS post-match promo. The match sucked, but I definitely recommend it overall.

Regal/Samoa Joe is a really weird one. Solid match, but then Mideon comes out and kisses Regal, and the crowd chants "faggot," followed by Regal's mic not working. Triple H showing up pops the crowd huge, but it doesn't make any sense on any level. Regal was bitching about Mideon and The Undertaker, so heel Triple H attacks him?? Triple H then beats up a bunch of jobbers.
Instead of advertising it as a Regal/Joe match, they probably should've called it "Let's Blow Triple H, He's So Cool, What a Great Boss"

During one of those Countdown Specials on Worse Gimmicks or something, they featured Isaac Yankem DDS.. Towards the end of the feature they asked 'Whatever happened to Yankem?' and one of the divas (forget who) say 'he looks kind of familiar', then it cuts to Kane who says something like 'yeah, I don't know'. Need to rewatch it.

Triple H then beats up a bunch of jobbers. Instead of advertising it as a Regal/Joe match, they probably should've called it "Let's Blow Triple H, He's So Cool, What a Great Boss" IGN actually wrote three articles about the show the match is from, "Entertainment Overload: Pride and Punishment." This should help put that match into something resembling context. Full show reviewRegal vs. Joe and everything that followedThe main event: Staz vs. Christopher Daniels for the UPW titleA couple of things I noticed while doing my research: - WWE vs. UPW was a fairly regular occurrence. Everyone from Kurt Angle to Edge and Christian worked a match for them. (The Angle/Christopher Daniels match is easy to find online.) - The "Schwag" that Triple H mentions/disposes of is heel manager Big Schwag, leader of the Schwag Army. - IGN is a surprisingly good source for UPW info, but you really have to dig. The staff seemed to be huge fans. - The three articles (and match, if we're being honest) are super dated. Examples: "Samoan Joe," references to the very much alive WCW, ECW and XPW and mentions of "Steven/Steve" Regal. They also talk about this "Prototype" guy. They said he might make it big one day. I wonder whatever happened to him...

Does anyone know how are the South Africa match is? Is on available anywhere else or did it just air in Kuwait as it has commentary from JR and Owen Hart and looks like it was all set up to air somewhere but I hadnt seen it anywhere else. I am just trying to establish how rare some of these are and hoping they add more gems.

I think they've loosened up on it (especially since he turned into a sometimes corporate suit a few years ago), but I remember an episode of Heat from 2008 where Todd Grisham made some comment about Yankem looking like Kane and, while it was removed from some versions of the broadcast, it managed to make its way onto the international version and he got yelled at for it. I believe it's mentioned during the match, but that show was broadcast on PPV in Africa, so that's why there were commentators. As for it's rarity, it's been used in a few Bret Hart compilations (including the already on the Network Dungeon Collection).
