It seems like it would be REALLY hard to repair Bray Wyatt at this point. There is no reason whatsoever to take him seriously or as a threat.

I'm so over Wyatt. He's been surpassed by...just about everyone.

Kane won because he needs to look strong in his upcoming feud with AJ.

Having read spoilers regarding Randy not being able to wrestle and then when Kane walked out, I thought to myself 'Finally! Bray is not only going to win, but it'll be a win on PPV. Just what he needs to get him back on track'
No! No! NOOOOOO! Why am I so dumb?
I don't really get too mad at WWE, but I do when it comes to Bray. He NEEDS to turn face, just to keep him fresh and give him a boost. Bray needs this change just as much as Reigns needs to turn 'douche-bag' heel.
I have complete faith in the Smackdown writers, especially after last night, but Bray needs a win. A BIG win. And he needed it on the first episode of Smackdown LIVE.
I have hope.

Technically Bray beat Orton. They rang the bell and everything.

Technically Bray beat Orton. They rang the bell and everything. Yes, but then Orton came out, in gear, and helped Kane beat Bray Wyatt. Victory nullified.

Bray Wyatt is only the for comical purposes. He's this scary guy who is gonna get you...but yet he never does. I think he won more as Fatass McGhee than this character. He has to be the least intimidating heel ever...lol. I think if they got someone to play evil Doink again he would be perceived to be a bigger threat than Wyatt.
They're running out of people to beat this guy. What happened to his face turn earlier this year? They gave up on that pretty quickly once he came back. That would have actually been the best chance to do something with this guy. As a heel...he is a joke. Just a big fat bearded nothing who talks stupid shit and loses every single big match he has.
lol.

Bray is the kind of character that would benefit from long-term storytelling, something that the WWE has no interest in.
Like, he beat the New Day just recently, but after a month of telling this story about how the creepy cult man is getting in their heads and wants to stamp out the power of positivity, the match happens, the creepy cult man wins, and then...nothing.
The New Day comes out the next night on Raw and it's like the story and match never happened. The Wyatts are on Smackdown and it's like it never happened.
Wyatt is the kind of character that should actually be able to influence other characters in a long-term fashion. The New Day should still be shaken up right now. They should lose the titles to someone specifically because they are shaken up. They should be heading into a long storyline about whether or not they can reclaim the power of positivity. Or something along those lines. And over on Smackdown, Bray should have become more powerful and confident, and gone on to victimize other superstars and spread his influence.
The WWE needs to actually let their characters develop and change and have arcs, in order for someone like Bray Wyatt to really work.

As much as I like BRAAAAAAAAAAAUN, he'd serve a greater purpose if he was still a Wyatt acolyte spreading chaos in Bray's name on Raw. Give Braun a mouthpiece to help him spread the word of the Family and then you're set. Over on SDLive, Bray should just manage Rowan & Harper (when he returns)< while trying to convert people on SD to his side.

He shouldn't let something like the brand split affect his influence over his followers.

If anything, they should treat Bray actually wrestling like it's a big deal. It helps add an air of mystique to the guy.

The Wyatts were the best during this feud. They rarely played around and beat the living hell out of the ECW crew. Just pure hardcore. Actually, think about it, when was Wyatt at his best? In the hardcore Ambrose feud, in the hardcore Reigns matches and in this hardcore ECW feud. Just make Wyatt into a hardcore monster again and we'll be good.
