I love how, currently, the Raw rating thread is directly above a thread about CM Punk virtually doubling UFC PPV buys. Vince & Trips not laughing as much now are they?

TV ratings for the most part are falling across the board, never to rise again. Streaming is quickly taking over. That said, Raw is still terribly written and overlong.

The annual drop rate is it were only due to streaming should be roughly of 1.8%. This show compared to last year's corresponding one had a 21% drop. It's not just technology, people are just plain fed up.

I DON'T CARE ABOUT ROMAN VS OWENS IN THE MAIN EVENT. I ONLY SAW THE END BECAUSE THE RAMS WERE GETTING BLOWN OUT.
NOBODY IS GOING TO TUNE IN TO SEE ROMAN IN THE MAIN EVENT. IT'S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. HE IS BOO'D AND HATED.
I know they have no way of reading that, but it's not f***ing hard to see why the ratings were bad. f*** f*** shit how hard is it to make me care enough to tune in SJFIEJCJSOCKFNSBSNF

2econd week in a row this Owens dude tanked the ratings. You know what to do Vince...or maybe you don't because you put the title on this clown in the first place. I don't think it's on Owens at all, just how shitty Raw is. Last week actually started out quite strong keeping the bulk of the elevated audience from the week prior, they just rapidly turned out as the show went because it was awful. In particular seem to have fled with Old Day due to how bad the 10 PM drop was.

RAW deserves it. I tuned out at 7 when my 49ers started, not to check back. I have no interest in RAW's megastar, Roman Reigns. He has been written as of the worst characters ever. That's been discussed enough, so I'll leave it at that. Mick Foley is driving me away. I don't know why, but he just bugs the hell out of me... Acts that I used to like a lot are getting old and annoying at an alarming rate (sup Enzo). New Day is stale. The Club sucks after they breifly found their footing with AJ. And that's just the stuff I actively dislike, and then everything else is boring. I'd rather watch an absolute trainwreck than a boring show.
Right now, I can say the only part of the show I am guaranteed to love is Chris Jericho.

Goddamn it, that geek Finn Balor tainted the Universal title and now it'll never draw again. Thanks a lot, you vanilla midget.

The belt could be on Owens, Balor, Reigns, Cena, Triple H, Ryder, Punk, Madlibs, whoever... The fact remains is that their audience is just not buying what RAW is selling right now. I mean, if it were really good, they'd watch it instead of football, yeah?

I always find it a little funny when people cite cord cutting as the reason for Raw's ratings. Don't get me wrong, it's certainly a factor. But in WWE's case the ramifications of that trend are potentially way more catastrophic than any weekly rating. Even with the network, the viability of the pay cable model is integral to WWE's continued existence.

WWE's main selling point to networks and advertisers is the idea of it being rerun and Internet-proof, with you missing out if you're not watching live the moment it happens.

I'll never understand why USA asked for RAW to have a third hour. Even Vince knows 3 hours is too much. He's gone on record as saying his perfect show length would be 90 minutes. 3 hours is just too long for a weekly wrestling show. It's too much. Because television execs have the dumb job of making everything a math equation. There is no equation for how 3 hours Raws harm the brands of WWE and Raw though. Of course, that's down the road and these people are in the business of results right now.

WWE's main selling point to networks and advertisers is the idea of it being rerun and Internet-proof, with you missing out if you're not watching live the moment it happens. Thing is though, they put up all the highlights of Raw on their YouTube and cut out the shit. Everything's on there, like why would I need to watch 3 hours of Raw each week when I can watch everything on YouTube in about 20 minutes including angles, who wins matches, all that. Whereas with NXT and the CWC, they'll just give you sneak peaks of every match, you'd need to watch the shows on the Network to find out the winners (hypothetically). I really hope they don't start doing that with Raw to be honest.
