I started reading the new Daredevil and the art work kind of distracts me from the story

I was impressed with the first part of "Night of the Monster Men", so much I'll probably consider lifting my boycott of Nightwing to collect the second part after all. It was just so bonkers, like something you'd do when you're a kid playing with all your action figures. Who needs Marvel's Monsters Unleashed when you have the Bat-Family kicking ass like this? Superman: {Spoiler}A nice relaxing day at the fair for the Kents/Smiths. I loved that Lois may wind up with a job at her town's newspaper (in addition to working undercover as N52 Lois in Action Comics), liked that Clark made peace with his neighbour over the incident with Jon and his health from a few issues ago. Lois getting mad at Clark for breaking his promise just as the roller-coaster went down at the end, while Clark and Jon have a good time, was depicted brilliantly. Someone compared this to something out of a Joe Kelly comic Trinity is a must-read, {Spoiler}It deals a lot with Lois bringing Bruce, Diana and Clark together for a family dinner so they can get to know one another again. There is references to the rainbow Bat-Suit and even what's currently going on in Diana's own book. Diana says her feelings for N52 Superman are no longer true, and I love how Jon initially freaks out so much at Bruce and Diana arriving that he lets his powers go off and "attacks" them. Lois is the narrator the whole time too, which is a nice change of pace

I refuse to believe that he didn't see the aftermath of attacking Thanos, that Bruce was going to be murdered and that Cap is Hydra. In one fell swoop he knocked War Machine, Hulk and a Spider-Man off the board while protecting Hydra Cap. Skull and Kobik involved maybe?

I wouldn't put it past Ultimate Reed for instance.

So, I can't say I've followed comics too closely in quite sometime, but I've been reading the main series of Civil War II (Civil War I is about when I stopped reading regularly) and boy Carol Danvers just seems like the worst f***ing person. And people who have her back seem like Nazi levels of "just following orders" blind ignorance to whats going on. Like, I know Civil War I kinda fell apart and made Stark look like a douche but I atleast feel you could see where he was coming from when everything started, this just feels like forced conflict.

Also, since I'm on a kick of getting back into comics again, is DC Rebirth a good spot to jump back in? Like, if I dive into a bunch of the Rebirth titles am I gonna have a good idea whats going on, or am I gonna be completely lost because of not being familiar with New 52?

I've only read the first two issues fully. But I highly doubt they could top Stark, Reed and Ant-man's facist dictator crap from the first civil war. (Not that Cap didn't come off like a massive douche either) and the impetus of the Civil War 2 actually makes some sense as opposed to the lsat time where Registered or not Nitro would have blown up the town.

I had actually blocked the whole internment camp in space bullshit out of my brain from CW I a internment camp in the negative zone which is literally described as being basically a hell dimension that causes all manner of psychological anguish to people... (that is well documented by one of hte people behind it) and making a homicidal robot clone of their friend. and deputizing homicidal maniacs... and Reed insinuating that McCarthyism was right and about a dozen other things.

Guess there's a reason I haven't gone back to it since They pretty much did the Secret Invasion to fix all the problems that Millar created with CW since NO ONE got out of Civil War looking good, so their response was just about half hte heroes were Skrulls and then later Iron Man was described as having the Extremis f*** with his brain, and Reed... well Reed was just an asshole.

That is one of the things that annoys me more than anything else - everyone else got a get out of jail free card, except Reed, who was just left as this dickhead
