New rule on FAN, every time you hit the report button on a post you disagree with and call it trolling or flaming we'll give you a point. What do these points do? Well we'll give your account more power to count as a bigger % for upvoting and downvoting individual posts. At the end of the day you get to mold content on this site to fit ONLY your preference and fight against anything you don't like! I assume I can trust you all to not abuse this in any way shape or form. Right?! Now I'm wondering how many people tested this by reporting this post

So instead of fixing their broken claim system, they're gonna make it even easier to false flag videos.
Good work, youtube!

The second any (and I mean any) real competition comes along youtube is done. Google are just flushing billions of dollars down the drain with each of these nonsense rules. How Dailymotion and Vimeo haven't killed them because of all of this is baffling to me. Dailymotion was considered second-rate even when YouTube was in its infancy and I don't think it ever tried to fight that stigma.

Dailymotion was considered second-rate even when YouTube was in its infancy and I don't think it ever tried to fight that stigma. Dailymotion used to be very loose on censorship, so much so that for a long while it openly had softcore pornography on it. I don't care about the porn, but eventually at some point it got more fully tighter. Unfortunately they also went crazy with ads so now any video has to play them a couple minutes in.

And here's the irony - technically a copyrighted song posted on a link from YouTube. Don't know if it was intended, but well played.

Hero Man, Hero Man, does whatever a hero can. Is he a cape? Is he a mask? Hero Man. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• This is like the internet equivalent of parents going on holiday and leaving their metalhead druggie teenage son in charge of the house. Which is a student video on YouTube already. And yes, I flagged it. I flagged it for the good of humanity.

Be A Hero, Rat Out People In Your Circles, Get No Reward. Like FB, I really wish someone could become a viable replacement for YouTube. Someone at Google's headquarters thought back to elementary school and said, "You remember that kid in all of our classes who used to rat us out to the teachers? WASN'T HE THE BEST!?"
