Seems kinda funny they're willing to put a defined (albeit poorly done so far) tag team behind one forced to be made up to take down the longest running tag team (behind Demolition).
Gallows and Anderson needed to win Sunday as, although they're grinding a bit lately, the New Day won't have any issues getting or staying over.

If the match had ended the way it started, it would have been a great way to pass the titles. Just have Gallows and Anderson decimate them going back "to their roots" of being asskickers. No more jokes, or skits, just go out there dominate, take the belts, and put New Day in check. They need to be knocked down. And not get up again. Somebody's gotta keep em down.

New Day sucks the juice out of everything, but let's not pretend NJPW were booking them great either. Anderson was lusting after a valet's ass nearly a year. A move to SD is the simplest solution out there, but AJ is doing great as solo. At least NJPW treated them like actual threats. Karl Anderson was always treated like he could hang and maybe even beat the Tanahashis, Okadas, and Nakamuras of the world. Compared to bring slaughtered in two minutes by John Cena, and Gallows being pinned by one superman punch.

They're awful. They don't deserve the titles in the first place. Better teams than them have lost to the New Day.

Gallows and Anderson really should've beaten the New Day. Someone has to get heat for beating them for the titles, and that heel team should put Enzo and Cass over. I honestly think at this point they should just turn New Day heel again (really shouldn't have turned face the way they did) and have them out Enzo and Cass over.

Compared to bring slaughtered in two minutes by John Cena, and Gallows being pinned by one superman punch. They got treated like threats because other than a few teams like Great Heel Bash and the Killer Elite Squad, the NJPW heavyweight tag team scene was dismal. Machine Gun and Luke weren't depth filled as we like to think they are. For all of the talk of New Japan treating them seriously, they spent their last months there feuding with the Kingdom while Anderson stared lustily at Maria's ass. Almost in the same near comical vein as their current feud with New Day. Or being random goonies during another Bullet Club beatdown/interference. Enzo and Cass are already over. Arguably, they are more over than the New Day. Putting the belts on Anderson & Gallows won't magically make them over as heels. Nor would being transition champions to get the belts to Enzo and Cass.

Ideally, the Club should've beat New Day at Summerslam to hold the tag titles for a good while until Enzo & Cass take the titles from them.

I still like Anderson (and I honestly don't know why!), but Gallows does nothing for me.

The Club as dominant champions beating guys until Enzo/Cass role up on them and take the belts. New Day then goes against Enzo/Cass for the heirs to the belts and New Day turns heel. That writes itself. There's not many heels teams on Raw so having The Club as the major heel tag team to help young guys out? Why not? What's worse is Gallows and Anderson have lost some of their spunk these past few months too. They're not having near as much fun.

It's mind boggling. They finally found something that worked for them by putting them with AJ, then they immediately put a stop to it.

It was pretty easy to predict this. These guys are dead in the water away from Styles because all we know them as is being lackeys. The entire awful New Day spoof segment just killed these guys beyond dead. The thing that distresses me is that so many on here think putting the belts on friggin Enzo and Cass is the magic elixir for the tag ranks. I don't think I've quite seen something like that before, where someone as kayfabe crappy as Enzo is as over as he is.

I dunno, the Vaudevillains (originally thought the Usos, and let them shift Roman heel, but it's more likely RAW would ruin their new-old groove), and let them rip in SD's better booked tag division.

Might as well make them Biscuits & Gravy II with Anderson playing the role of Jesse's cousin Earl....

It's like Vince realised he hired Festus again and started jobbing him out because he's Festus.

The only tag team that should defeat The New Day is Enzo and Cass and maybe Sheamus and Cesaro if the pairing works. I rather have The New Day continue holding the belt past 478 days as a "Thank You here's a record to break" even if they are past expiration date then The Club holding the belt just for a day. Plus if they build it up right, The New Day vs. Enzo and Cass can be major drawing feud. Seriously.

I'd have had Enzo and Cass win the belts in the four-way at Money in the Bank, do something or other to stall for Battleground like go ahead and do it as it was (more or less, anyway, would smooth out some parts) for them with Cena and the Wyatts to keep the teams apart there, then had Enzo and Cass finally face off with New Day at SummerSlam. That or would've had the Club beat them the night after SummerSlam, where it'd have been wrecking their one year celebration and probably gotten them an actual reaction for once in the process.
By this point, I'd just say screw it and have Sheamus and Cesaro beat them for the belts on a random Raw, wouldn't even bother waiting for Hell in a Cell.
