If it doesn't star Lioness Nikki Bella as Nala, what's even the point? The new ending has her finishing Scar off with a forearm. But Scar dodges the forearm and gets Nikki with a roll-up! Bad guys win, movie ends.

I think it should be set in an exotic, yet familiar location, like Denmark...round about 500 years ago. And he should call it something dramatic, but obscure...like, I don't know, Hamlet.

Jungle Book was excellent so I don't know why anyone would be against this. This. Plus it's a positive that Disney, with the exception of Cruella, is shying away from reinventing the wheel any more. Then again they DID used to be masters at inventing and reinventing. /You know who else invented things? //Maleficent.

Sure it will be CG
But I wonder if they will actually train a mandrill to hold a lion club in the air.

But then at one point, the plot should transition to England for Simba's exile. I think it'd more fully realise the story of the young prince living a no-worries life, partying all the time with his corpulent friend Falst- I mean, Puumba, before being reminded of the value of kingship. {Spoiler} Brows Held High was the thing that pointed this out, and I think I enjoy The Lion King more because it melds the two Shakespearian themes so well.

Even in live action, Ed should do nothing except laugh.

I'm fine with it being realistic looking CGI, but if it's Human's reenacting the story of Lion King, I'm out.

Oh, man. It's gotta be Jeremy Irons. I mean I especially agree with Irons and James Earl Jones but...couldn't theoretically the rest of the cast be brought back? Yeah, I would hope so. I mean, I kinda get passing on Jonathan Taylor Thomas and even Matthew Broderick for Simba, but roles like Scar and Timon and Pumbaa are iconic enough that Irons, Nathan Lane and Ernie Sabella should all be back.
