Considering what we just saw on Raw, in which Goldberg couldn't even throw a knee without fumbling all over himself, I feel like they're really going to have to give the main event some serious "smoke and mirrors" treatment to make it look passable. I just think it's an ugly combination - a wrestler who hasn't stepped into the ring in front of a live audience in 12 years against the superstar whose matches have become increasingly lazy and uninspired. There's only so many German suplexes Brock Lesnar can throw before you wonder what the hell else is going to happen. This makes me realize something. You know how the first match consisted of them just staring at each other for 10 minutes while Madison Square Garden just booed and chanted them out of the building? That approach might actually work in this match, so long as they can keep Goldberg's aura up long enough to make it to the show.

With what looks like all the champions (other than Kendrick, probably) going to be in Survivor Series matches, what the hell do they fill the card with? I don't think those three matches, and Goldberg/Lesnar, are going four hours. I mentioned Kendrick, he might have the odd quirk of being the only champion defending a belt on this show. The preview for this week's Smackdown seems to imply that the WWE Title story is separate from the Survivor Series tag match (like when World Champ Batista was on team Smackdown in 2005, but WWE Champion John Cena was defending against Kurt Angle).

I'll go ahead and call this thing now, watch me.
- SD somehow ends up winning and on the team there's Ambrose, Styles and 3 others and shit, probably 3 heels or filled with 1-2 jobbers but they get the job done - To not eclipse Raw, they wash over SD's win quickly and beat up Ambrose and also Rollins and Reigns get beaten down by Owens, Jericho and Strowman - Ambrose gets beaten down by his team - Rollins, Reigns and Ambrose end up working together to beat down all the heels and at the end they do some Shield shit like powerbombing Strowman or Owens - Shield stands in the ring reunited for 1 night
That's how that shit ends.

According to the graphic they showed on Smackdown, all three members of The New Day will compete in the tag team Survivor Series match.

According to the graphic they showed on Smackdown, all three members of The New Day will compete in the tag team Survivor Series match. I'm guessing guy #10 will be either Sheamus or Cesaro. Enzo and Cass will get a spot, as will Deluxe Turkey Sandwich The Club. Who is the last team though? All they have left is The Shining Stars. (Well, there's Nese and Gulak, but I'm not counting them.)

Dolph Ziggler will defend his Intercontinental Title at Survivor Series apparently, but against a Member of the RAW Roster. Assuming we wont know who until the show itself, built up the surprise.

I haven't been watching in months but have been following results, and I gotta say I love how much they're committing to the traditional team concept. And all the raw vs. smackdown matches are a fun way to utilize the brand split. I'm intrigued.

Daniel Bryan's ego is definitely gonna cost Team Smackdown at Survivor Series.

I'm wondering if the wrestler moves to Smackdown if they win the IC Title. There's no sense messing up the placement of the titles on the shows. Could be a good chance to move someone who is currently lost in the shuffle on Raw (come on Sami Zayn).

So, they will probably wrestle each other next week to determine the final team.

I hate that Becky isn't team captain Does it really matter that much when the captain stuff means nothing? It really doesn't matter that much in the grand scheme of things, but I get why so many people have a problem with it as it's kind of them saying Nikki's better even though Becky's the champion. The main problem for me is that in the tag team and womens eliminations matches all the other champions (Charlotte, New Day, Slater/Rhyno) are the captains of their teams, but yet Becky isn't. If it wasn't for that I wouldn't have that much of a problem with it either, but because of that it does seems suspicious. I think it would better if they explained it by saying something like Bryan and Shane think Nikki has better leadership qualities and is a better fit to be a captain. Doubt they will do that but at least that way it would come more like Nikki just being more the right person for the job due to leader skills, unlike right now where it comes off more like Nikki being presented as the alpha of the team with Becky playing second fiddle despite being the champion.

Given it's SmackDown and they're proving themselves to be a bit more adept at the story thing, it's probably happening for a reason. Is it actively planting the seeds for a Lynch v Nikki title feud? Was Lynch not considered as she was the only SmackDown talent with a scheduled title defense to prepare for and didn't need the distraction, especially given she'd just returned from a short absence?
I just don't think one being chosen over the other automatically means "NIKKI IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN BECKY". Both are important, it's not a "one is 100, the other is ZERO" thing.
