They were a pretty soft team for what seems like forever. Now, with Lucic, Pouliot, Nurse, etc they have a nice group that compliments each other well. You can skate into guys and blow past them. The Blues this year are really missing the net front presence of Backes and Brouwer.
Also worth noting, I've always wanted Reaves to beat Lucic's ass. That guy is such a punkass. Which is a shame, because he's tough as nails. But such a bitch. I think it's a Bruin thing.

These darn Blues. One goal off a bad deflection, and then we get almost blanked in the shootout. We need more speed and skill if we're going that way. Guys like Lehtera and Jaskin offer neither. We also really miss Oshie in the shootout. That guy gave us so many points. We need to bring him back.

Catching an AHL Game tonight and heard that the Rangers sent down Dylan McIlrath hope he sees some ice time tonight and isn't a scratch. The Hartford Wolfpack are playing against the Leigh Valley Phantoms any good prospects on Phantoms to keep an eye on?

God damn the Oilers need to forecheck aggressively against these slow moving trap playing Canucks. Also thank f*** for Talbot for playing awesome when the rest of the team plays like shit unlike last year.

So Craig Anderson will be starting tonight after it was announced his wife has Cancer. They are in the waiting stage and his wife urged him to play since Ottawa is resorting to there 3rd and 4th starting goalies with Hammond being injured as well. Seriously f*** cancer and it's terrible the Sens organization has been hit with Cancer the last two years with Bryan Murray and now Anderson's wife.

Rangers embarrass the Lightning 6-1. Grabner got himself a hat trick and Vesey netted one as well, putting both at the top of the Rangers goals list with 5.

Oilers win streak ends tonight. But it was kind of expected because athletes seem to always play great during the first game back from a tragedy. I'm really glad that Anderson got the shutout I really am. But Holy f*** fire Jay Woodcroft or demote him from PP Duty because the Oilers PP has been disastrous this season and the past season. Like Dear God he makes Eakins PP look good in comparison.

3-0 win over the Kings last night, can't complain about that. Next up is the second home game in a week against the Flames, who we lost a shootout to last time out.

Like sweep the ice or be the head bee guy or something

Like sweep the ice or be the head bee guy or something While we're at it, who runs their defensive zone schemes/coverages? Shot attempts against, scoring chances against, and high danger shots against all apparently worse than last year(and last year wasn't good)

These Rangers are kicking our ass. We're playing like 5 piles of dog poo on ice. I've said it for a long time, Hitchcock HAS to go. He's not a good hockey coach. Also, we need to get rid of Edmundson and Shatty who are below-roomba quality defensemen. Between them and Pietrangelo thinking he is a forward, we have no combo of defensemen who are responsible. Also, 0 of our defensemen are good at clearing the crease. Bortuzzo and Lindbohm are good at staying back, trying to not get beat, and limiting rebound chances. So of course, Hitch hates their guts and only plays them when someone else is injured.

Okay T-Mac enough with the same forward pairings. Time to switch it up. Reunite McDavid and Pouliot or McDavid and Maroon since they seemed to have more chemistry last year then McDavid and Lucic. Demote Eberle and promote Pitlick or Kassian or Puljujarvi on the first line since they've been playing like a house on fire unlike Eberle whose just coasting. Also Jersey Bro's I love Larsson so far.
