These Rangers are good. Like, really good. Fast too. They are very, very fast. And they were moving the puck well tonight. But we all know the story of the Rangers in the playoffs, so they'll have to be quite a bit better to get over that hump.

The Rangers baffle me right now; I was all set to see them be slower and older, but now they're playing like the D2 team Iceland on anabolics.
More than that, I have to stop watching whenever the Rangers or Flyers play; any time I do they end up overcoming a deficit and winning, ala Philly last night against Detroit (oh yeah NBC, such a hot "rivalry" game, that one is). Clearly, were I to stop watching, both teams would sink to the bottom of the standings, right?

Clearly, were I to stop watching, both teams would sink to the bottom of the standings, right? I don't know why you'd expect them to be slower and older after acquiring Zibanejad and Vesey in the off-season to a forward group that already had some speed and skill. They're a better team, but I still don't think they're a legit Cup contender. Now, this team with Henrik from 5 years ago, they could go all the way. Their offense is humming right now, but I think they're going to be streaky. I don't buy Kreider taking the next step, Mika's a good player but has always ran hot/cold, Vesey is still a rookie, Nash looked awful last year, McDonagh didn't look as good last year. They're all peaking right now, and they're running through teams. But it's a long season, and I think some of their guys come back to earth. The long season theme is what I need right now anyway. My Blues have scored 7 goals in the last 6 games. We look like shit right now. Steen and Schwartz are playing just awful hockey right now, and Lehtera is quickly entering mini-albatross territory. Not completely unmoveable, but he's not at all worth that contract.

Rangers beat the Oilers 5-3. That's 16 goals scored in their last 3 games.

Blues got their ass kicked by Dallas tonight. Not surprising, we're a terrible hockey team. But AGAIN, the NHL's review system rears it's ugly head. It's exactly the same as the video game franchise where the reviews seem completely random. A game that could have been 4-3 with 9 minutes left ends 6-2. We still probably lose, but that's a shitty call. Most of these reviews make more of a mess than the original play.

Is Canadiens going to show up in the third period, or are they going to let in over ten goals?

Al Montoya just got Patrick Roy'ed. When I saw the score, I was hoping it was Carey Price for the lulz

Hitchcock has Yakupov (one of our 3 best forwards so far this year) in favor of barely rosterable Jaskin. We need to fire this asshole, and soon.

Rangers win 5-2 over the Bruins. 4th straight game where they've scored 5+ goals.

Matt Martin has always been a POS. And there's no shortage of Leafs fans supporting it right now. No one deserves their last 10 years more than that fanbase. They're the Boston fans of Canada.

The only reason people didn't think he was is because there used to be people like Trevor Gillies to compare him to.
