Vince McMahon's favorite wrestler these days is f***in' Roman Leaky. ...yep, sounds about right. I bet Roman isn't Vince's fave if I had to guess I'd say Cesaro is his fave as inring conpetitor, New Day as characters and Rollins/AJ as total packages

2011 me gazes into a crystal ball and sees the following sights from 2016 - though the visions are fragmented and out-of-context, 2011 me is nonetheless filled with horror and despair at the following:
CM Punk has become an un-person within WWE Daniel Bryan has retired The Miz is still being pushed heavily Sting has retired, having never wrestled the Undertaker despite getting a WWE run
And perhaps most horrifying of all After a gimmick change and some time in developmental, Husky Harris has become my favorite wrestler.

They have how many awesome guys on the roster?
The booking booking is still so shitty that everyone hates it?
Aw come on.

I don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but Kofi Kingston will be tag champs with TNA's Consequences Creed and some guy named Big E... and they would get their own cereal. At the time, Big E wasn't really liked around here. There were several reasons, but it was mainly due to this picture: He was known as "The Amazing Symmetrical Man." It didn't really go away until he started his "five count" gimmick in NXT. Hey now, as the one who mirrored his pic to properly show things off, it wasn't out of dislike. More a kind of bewildered awe. What immortal hand or eye could dislike that fearful symmetry?

You show someone who doesn't know wrestling and know how badly he's been written as a character to the point of getting openly toxic heel heat... He looks pretty damn badass. Problem has been an accumulation of factors. The aforementioned bad writing as a wise-cracking everyman, not aided by coming off a decade of John Cena getting mixed reactions in the same role. Heightened expectations of in-ring ability, due to guys like Bryan, Rollins, Cesaro, etc. tearing it up and getting a following seemingly in spite of the writing. And, very importantly, those type of guys often being passed over for long-term top spots, leading to resentment of the guys that are given those spots.

Vince found a new top face so terrible and so over-pushed it made people finally appreciate how good John Cena is.

I'd be horrified to learn that WWE didn't learn their lesson after the 2014 Royal Rumble and proceeded to do the same thing year after year (not just the Rumble itself, but the entire calendar year) as well as that CM Punk's hard work in the then current would be all for naught.

Which makes me think he would rather enjoy watching Cesaro in the ring. Also New Day as characters/cutting promos and Rollins/AJ as characters/workers/promo guys seem to be his types of guys

Sting came to the WWE, jobbed to HHH at Wrestlemania. Then got injured and never faced Taker.

Ooh they finally hired Sting! I bet the match against Taker at Wrestlemania was gr-
...
They jobbed him out to HHH that year? Undertaker faced HUSKY HARRIS? Sting retired after a match with Tyler Black?
speaking of which...
Their 3 biggest stars are Tyler Black, another Samoan, and a CZW guy?

Always remembered Big E as that guy. 5 years from now, I hope we're all experiencing the triumphant World Heavyweight Champion reign of Meltman.

2011 Captain: "wait... CM Punk left? Well there's obviously no point in watching"
2016 Cap: "Nah it's cool. We kind of hate him now"
2011: "what!? He's the straight edge saviour! The voice of the voiceless!"
2016: "yeah now he's kind of just a cranky bitch"
2011: "Punk is the best part of the show!"
2016: "well Styles and Ambrose are both pretty amazing and the women's division is entertaining"
2011: "... you're telling me the TNA upper mid carder and a guy I've never heard of are the best... AND YOU'RE JUST MAKING THAT LAST PART UP!"

"Women's wrestling is a lot better now. They stopped hiring models and hired actual wrestlers. They got rid of the Diva's Championship too."
"Oh sweet! It's about damn time!"
"But Raw only focuses on Ric Flair's daughter and somebody named Sasha Banks."
"Dang..."
"They had a Hell In A Cell match."
"Holy shit, that sounds awesome!"
"But it was like their fifth match in a row."
"You're kidding me. Well, at least women's wrestling is better now, right?"
"They keep screaming about historic it is and Stephanie McMahon acts like she created women's sports. It's more of a marketing thing."
"SON OF A BITCH! ...Uh well, how is Britani Knight doing? I heard great things about her and they say she has a big future in the WWE."
"She recently got suspended twice, the second happening only about a month after the first suspension ended. She is also engaged to Alberto Del Rio who quit the WWE in 2016 after returning in 2015, because he got fired in 2014 for punching out a racist WWE worker."
".....What."

Absolutely psyched that Bryan became the most over guy in years, but crushed that he ended up retiring early and had that run cut short.
Even after the white hot Summer of Punk angle in 2011, 2011 me still wouldn't have necessarily been surprised that things ended up going south between him and WWE eventually.
The return of the brand split, with AJ Styles and Kevin Steen as your World Champions. Oh, and both of them have clean PPV victories over John Cena of all people, who is actually being booked to put people over now.
Bruno Sammartino being back in the fold and getting a HOF induction.
The Ultimate Warrior reconciles with the company, gets inducted into the HOF, appears at WrestleMania and Raw, then passes away the very next day. He's now a revered and loved figure in WWE history.
The Streak actually ending, and being ended by Brock Lesnar, who, after returning to the company two years prior, becomes the biggest monster heel of this generation and gets another WWE title run.
The two World titles were unified, and for about 2 1/2 years, we had one World Champion again. Then the new brand split happened and there's 2 again. They call the new one the Universal title. Seriously.
Speaking of World titles, don't worry, the spinner belt does eventually go away. The new belt isn't perfect but it's still leagues ahead of that eyesore. And they got rid of that horrendous butterfly belt for the Divas, who are actually called the Women's division and compete for the Women's title in awesome matches.
