I was having a conversation about matches that I wished had happened and I mentioned Ken Shamrock vs The Undertaker. When people said that it had happened I was vehement that I'd never seen it. Then I rewatched Backlash '99 and realised why I had completely forgot about their match.
Undertaker spends about 95% of this tedious match lying flat on his back doing nothing.

Basically every Hell in a Cell match except HBK/Taker and Taker/Mankind and the one where Rikishi fell into the truck. I didn't remember they were champs either. Weird. I think they beat Otunga and Axel and then lost it before their mania match Speaking of which didnt Otunga and Cena have a feud? Otunga and Axel debuted much later. Cena was a tag champ with Otunga, beating Drew McIntyre and Cody Rhodes then losing them the next night to Slater and Gabriel. Cena and Michaels lost to the Hardy Boyz. I dont remember all of this by heart, and had to look up some.

Was there a Kurt Angle v.Sabu ladder match one time? There was an Angle v Sabu match, but no ladder was involved. In fact, it was Angle's last TV match in WWE to date.

Rock v Cena II brought us Corrupt Referee Sylvain Grenier! Which was far better than Crap Wrestler Sylvain Grenier. I think you mean Rock vs. Hogan II. The only thing Rock vs. Cena II gave us was buyer's remorse, and a "heel turn." Freudian slip. Amusingly (or ironically if we went to go full Alanis), I'd forgotten about Rock v Cena II.

There was an RVD vs. Sabu Ladder match around the same time. It was notable for being REALLY sloppy, and no ladder was used in the finish.

I'm still trying to figure out if Evolution vs. Rock N Sock Connection was all a dream or not. Wrong Mania 20 match.

Yeah... And that was a REMATCH from WrestleMania the month before. And from that same WrestleMania... Orton v Kane as a "pair the spares" feud. That whole first hour after the Bryan/Sheamus 18 Seconds thing is just a laundry list of forgetfulness. I remember Orton vs. Kane mostly for how bad it was and how it felt like it lasted a couple years, and then for how awesome the follow-up falls count anywhere match the next month was. Cody / Big Show I mostly remember for how it would've made way, WAY more sense for the eighteen seconds thing than Bryan / Sheamus did. Its storyline was calling perfectly for something like that. Especially because Beautiful Disaster is the perfect move to run right into a fist

Strangely enough, Dusty had actually advised him to leave the company after that match as it WAS, but Cody didn't feel like it would prove anything. uproxx.com/prowrestling/cody-rhodes-quit-wwe-dusty-rhodes/If the match actually did get the 18 Seconds treatment, Cody probably would have left then and there as opposed to four years later.

I'm like 90% sure Otunga and Axel lost the belts to Air Boom ('member Air Boom?). I don't know who Cena and HBK won the belts from, but I'm guessing based on that timeframe it was probably someone like Cade and Murdoch. They definitely lost them to the Hardys in a tag team title battle royal, I remember that much. They beat Rated RKO. Really tho? Lol Air Boom, didnt R Truth replace Bourne once he got injured/suspended(I forget what happened first) I remember Cryme Tyme was supposed to get a Tag Title shot against Rated RKO but they had Cena and HBK win them and Cryme Tyme never got their chance. I hated when they did that. They did that to the Mexicools as well when they had Batista and Rey Mysterio beat MNM for the titles and the Mexicools never got their shot
