This is only the beginning. We all know the WWE overcompensates to an extreme degree once they finally realize they've been doing something silly, so in a few months we'll see the debut of Adrian Alexander Antonio Colin Langston.

Cesaro and Rusev are cases where losing the first name was a great move.
Big E, I hated it, but it's kinda grown on me. If he goes singles again, though, he should get a last name again.

She's actually the third woman in recent years to gain her surname.
Tamina debuted as just Tamina, and started being called Tamina Snuka during one of her yearly pushes (before losing it again when her fathers scandal reemerged).
And AJ was introduced on her season of NXT as AJ Lee, but by the next week had lost her surname (along with Naomi losing her surname, Knight). She got it back year later during her wedding to Daniel Bryan.
It's a good move. Charlotte is not a unique enough name, and she's already done enough in the business that it feels like she's worthy of the Flair name.

Good; it's been kind of weird not having Ric Flair's daughter going by her (kayfabe) last name. Might there have been legal reasons, e.g. name ownership and whatnot? Beyond that, anything that involves letting the women have full names is nice, the long history of "women go by first names only" was pretty infantilizing.

I've always hated women not having last names, especially if it isn't a specific ring name that is unique. Instead, they always came off as either being marketed as a centerfold sex object or children's doll.
It's like if Cena was just marketed as "John", or Orton being marketed as "Randy".
I also prefer Rusev having a first name too, even if it was just Alex. Cesaro on the other hand needs a first name that isn't Antonio..that name just sucked.

If David of all people was allowed to use the Flair name Charlotte damn sure should be able to as well.

Wait just a minute! You're telling me Charlotte is Ric Flair's daughter? That's news to me. How come they've never mentioned that on TV?

I agree Magnus- I never in a million years realized that charlotte was the daughter of the 16 time world champ and double hall of famer ric flair! it's like... INCONCEIVABLE! I suppose next they're going to start going overboard and start saying that Natalya has some sort of famous uncle or something.

Surprised it took them this long to do it. I never understood why her, Curtis Axel and Raquel Diaz never used their father's last names.

Good. I'm sick of WWE giving the women astoundingly common names and no surname. Can Paige have Knight as a surname when she comes back?

Yeah, but if they kept mentioning it, she'd be way overshadowed by Bruce Hart.

Surprised it took them this long to do it. I never understood why her, Curtis Axel and Raquel Diaz never used their father's last names. In the case of Axel......John Laurinaitis flat out told him that he had to "earn" the name Joe Hennig. The non-Road Warrior sibling / Bushwacker flag carrier told the biological son of Mr. Perfect he had to earn his own f***ing name.

It's weird they gave Charlotte her own dad before they gave her her dad's last name.

Just about everyone should have a first and last name. They don't have to use them all the time, but it's ridiculous we've got wrestlers just named Neville, Big E, Emma, or Cesaro to name a few.
