SmackDown is LIVE this week from Green Bay (boooooooooooo), and we've got a few things on tap already for the Blue Brand's offering this week...
After suffering two inexplicable defeats to the almighty James Ellsworth, WWE World Champion AJ Styles is in a pickle, and he blames one man for this - the Lunatic Fringe Dean Ambrose. The Phenomenal One and The Face That Runs The Place will get his chance at revenge on Ambrose tonight in the main event, but with a major risk in place - if Ambrose defeats him, he gets a shot at the WWE World Title. And since Styles isn't in great form lately, it's not exactly guaranteed that he'll emerge with the win... and what if Ellsworth shows up again to cause more havoc?
THE DEMON KANE has disappeared and reappeared a heck of a lot lately, and it's messing with Bray Wyatt's head. This week, The Big Red Machine and the Eater of Worlds will collide in a No DQ match that no doubt will see both Randy Orton and Luke Harper get involved. Will we get a conclusive winner, or will there be more magical mumbo jumbo afoot? And will we see another casket?
After an agonising TWO WHOLE WEEKS AWAY, tonight's SmackDown Live sees the triumphant return of the SmackDown Women's Champion, the Irish Lass Kicker Becky Lynch! Becky had to miss No Mercy two weeks ago due to a procedure that she said at a recent convention involved something "being removed from her" - and this has annoyed Alexa Bliss, who has had to wait longer to get her shot at the title. In fact she has to wait two more weeks, as Lynch and Bliss are set to meet in Glasgow on November 8th for the title, but what will happen between them tonight?
Carmella is one of those jealous types - last week on SmackDown Live, she revealed to Nikki Bella that she hates her because of her relationship with John Cena, and that she doesn't think Nikki has earned her place in the WWE the right way, saying she's only where she is because of sleeping with Cena, and riding Brie Bella's coat-tails. Obviously Nikki is angry that all of her accomplishments are being called into question, so will she get the chance to silence the person whose finisher is The Code of Silence tonight?
There have been many unlikely stories in WWE this year, but the return of The Spirit Squad (or at least two of them anyway) is right up there with them. Last week, Kenny and Mikey, along with The Miz, got a big victory over the Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler and SmackDown Tag Team Champions Heath Slater and Rhyno. Not only does this put The Miz back in the hunt for Ziggler's IC Title, but now Kenny and Mikey have to be looked at as the top contenders for the SmackDown Tag Titles. What cheerleading antics will we see this week?
All this, plus what's next for Baron Corbin, if Natalya finds any more cat photos, and if we'll finally see Curt Hawkins' debut, tonight from 8/7c on USA, followed on the WWE Network by TALKING SMACK~!
