Anytime I hear of KFC Japan, my mind immediately goes back to Y2J's chicken brain story from "A Lion's Tale."

The Phillipines had a Double Down Dog I remember that one. Out of curiosity, tried it. Kinda average. Also tried the chizza as well. Doesn't taste good. McDonalds had a rice burger once, which was okay. Right now they have the McSpicy, which is basically their own version of the Zinger. Tastes the same, but they seem to use the stringy breast meat which doesn't work well.

Looks like something a local dive bar has been making for the last 30 years. Called "The TriPPPle". The three P's stand for Pure Pork Pizza. It's a breaded pork tenderloin that's pounded out into a roughly 8 inch circle. Pizza Sauce, sausage, Canadian bacon, pepperoni and normal bacon are the toppings. Then mozerella cheese. They send it through a broiler salamander for like 2 minutes. (The breaded tenderloin is already hot from the frier when it's topped"
It tastes amazing honestly, although I personally miss the "yeasty-ness" of a good pizza crust. Some people order it with buns and eat it like a giant pizzaburger. That isn't bad either, but it's still missing that yeast-crust flavor I personally love.

I'm not sure if I should e more offended as a vegan, or as someone who just witnessed a crime against the art of cooking.

People can be really weird in that I bet if you were to show someone it with a bun, their brain would interpret it as healthier than out of it. It's the Double Down effect, where no one would have thought anything of a double chicken sandwich, but REMOVE FOOD from it, and it'll stop your heart and make you gain 100 pounds and make your kids not love you anymore.

KFC everywhere else but where I'm from always looks so creative. Here the choices are pretty much 2 pieces of chicken with fries, 3 pieces of chicken with fries, or a piece of chicken in a bun.

My favorite KFC Japan story is when I was 17, I was on my way to language school, and I noticed a KFC with a very interesting decal. Colonel Sanders, playing ring around the rosy....with baby chickens. I love you, Japan.
