It’s the 10 to 30 gap that bugs me. You have a 20 year span only represented by six matches. They should’ve added either Cena vs. Miz or Cody vs. Rey Mysterio from WM27. Or even Triple H vs. Undertaker.

Throwing weapons may be the best new addition to these games.

Throwing weapons may be the best new addition to these games. it is a ton of fun throwing chairs at people... especially when they are on the ladder

Throwing weapons may be the best new addition to these games. I'm glad I can throw drinks at opponents again like in the early Smackdown games.

I wasn't kidding about weapon throwing being so fun.

It's so wild how 2K really did right this ship after 2K20. I guess I just have Corey Ledesma-related PTSD.

It's become really, really clear that the reason these games were always so damn incremental is Yukes. Since 2K22 they've been meaningfully adding things every game (even if some stuff gets neglected year-to-year) while I defy you to name much of anything notably different between 2K16 and 2K19. And for that matter look at how all of the Fight Forever updates have done virtually nothing to actually address the game's problems.

Fight Forever also has glaring omissions (Evil Uno, who hyped the game up before its release), a bare-bones CAW mode, and Toni Storm being really outdated.

I'm even impressed by how close the roster is to matching TV.
RAW is only missing two listed performers, and one of them is Andrade, so he was never realistically gonna make the cut.
SmackDown! is missing four, two of which are AOP and another is Naomi, so again, not realistically viable for the game.
NXT is missing 34 talents that are listed on the website, and surely others that .com hasn't gotten around to adding yet. But, when NXT was first added, we only got like six guys, so we've come a long way.
The game's not perfect, Universe is restrictive and lacking, Showcase is a slog every year and really needs to go away or change dramatically, but the good kinda outweighs all the bad.

Universe and Create an Arena are what really feel like they need a glow-up. They're two pillars of the game but are increasingly stagnant and limiting.

Yeah, I don't exactly know what Showcase really provides ... other ways to get the legends into the game... but there's gotta be a better way than basically watching half the matches because they couldn't animate this section... At least this year and last year they stuck with you playing as the winner of the match... cause the worst is playing these games nad it forcing you to be the loser.

Do they still have nonsensical promos in universe that's a mini game that doesn't seem to have any rhyme or reason who wins or loses? >_>
I haven't tried Universe yet... I've been unlocking everything and making people...
edit: Also I don't know where to put this so I'll stick it here since it's where I hear it the most... but the more I hear Pretty Deadly's theme the more I love it.

No, 2K22 cut the promo minigame and they haven't brought it back. And yeah, Pretty Deadly's theme is great.

I must have played universe in one of those... but I honestly couldn't remember... I just remember it being completely obtuse and even if you think you're following a natural progression of a promo it would decide you weren't.

Turns out there's evidence in the data that at one point one of the Showcase matches was going to be Taker vs. Jake. Would explain Bearer being in there and an image from it being used when making a custom show, though makes me wonder why they didn't do it since it'd at least have had some novelty to it and it'd be great to have an early 90s Taker again.

Would Jake being in AEW have something to do with that or does he have a legends contract with WWE as well?
