I remember WOW Magazine giving them loads of coverage and pushing them hard. From a pre-mainstream internet UK this made them seem a much bigger deal than they actually were, especially when I'm sure they went as far as calling Homeless Jimmy the new Mick Foley. Yeah, they really tried to expand into Europe, I remember them making a European title and working with Alex Shane to get a foothold in England. It was a decent idea, which is why it worked a lot better when a competent company like ROH did it. I remember it being presented as a fairly big deal when Zebra Kid and Jonny Storm went over there to wrestle. I thought Jody Fleisch went too, but I can't see any record of it.

I remember someone on here having a signature saying the promotion was molesting ECW, which was in a coma. There is that.

Didn't this dude one propose feeding a puppy to a boa constrictor?
Also, I think Pogo the Clown was essentially nothing more than an overweight Juggalo (guy with clown facepaint but wore T-shirts and had a buzz cut.

Say what you will about the company, but every person I know that worked there has been an absolutely amazing person. Who do you know that worked there?

I trained at Santino Brothers Dojo for a while, so I got to know Joey Kaos and Mongol Santino quite well. Met Supreme and Messiah quite a few times, Angel is hilarious, and there's probably a lot more that I'm not remembering at the moment.

The best way to describe XPW is, it was a combination of ECW's no rules style wrestling and WCW's we don't have a clue what we're doing booking. They also had the commentating duo of Joey Styles wannabe (Kriss Kloss) and the Latino Jerry Lawler (Larry Rivera). Still cracks me up when he says Chain Douglas.

I don't recall ever seeing a good match from them. Even if it did on Paper. I remember seeing a few matches as bonus on the Hardcore Coming DVD that where all Former ECW talent having matches in XPW. I remember in 03 Shane being a booker and of course HHHs himself as World Champion as in a very long title run. I know he was a couple times champion before that not long after WCW went but he went full HHH there.

Terrible. Awful wrestling, awful announcing from Joey Styles wannabe Kris Kloss (who was ironically replaced by Styles himself briefly), and awful storylines.

All I remember was a ran a short lived e-fed that had a strict "no real wrestlers" rule. Some kid wanted to join and be "Supreme from XPW" When explained that he can't be a real wrestler, he wanted to be "Super Supreme from Triple XPW" I ran an feed where someone was Jeff Hardy JR. Ran one where someone was Steve Legal. Yeah, that didn't last long.

The best thing I ever saw from the promotion was that they gave us Juventud Guerrera's famous "Juicy Juicy Juice" rant.

It says something when their most famous match was fn New Jack vs Vic Grimes in a scaffold. By the way they paid their wrestlers in porn when the cash was low. Joey Styles said in a shoot that he only worked one show there and that he didn't return because he was appalled when he found out that a porn company was funding the whole thing... Had the XPW paid their guys in porn confirmed a few years back by a guy who worked for them years ago."Rob tried to give me 600 bucks worth of porn.Told him I CAN'T FEED MY SON WITH COPIES OF LETS $%#%SLAM GRANNIE!". Pretty sure New Jack mentioned getting paid in porn by ROb. The TV show turned into this weird soap opera with wrestlers and pornstars.

I've actually always had a huge interest in XPW because for a time a lot of people considered them the number 2 or 3 promotion in the USA. Between the time of ECW and WCW closing and MLW/TNA/WWA starting up they would have been considered number two in the United States. I'd say JCW was bigger as they were doing national sellout shows on a club level with a huge home video audience that regularly saw their releases on the Billboard charts.

Oh I absolutely remember XPW. After ECW and WCW died and before TNA had a TV deal (as well before ROH DVDs were readily available), I lead obsessed with pro wrestling and starving for something other than WWE. I picked up a couple of their DVDs from Suncoast and... Yeah, that was it. By and large, terrible wrestling product.
What stands out most to me is the awful commentary, Sunny and Candido, Juventud's baffling promos, the awful Pogo gimmick... On the bright side, some good performers in Kaos and Chris Hamrick. But yeah, it was low brow and pretty forgettable for the most part.

I remember buying a XPW tape had to be about early 2002. The two things that stuck out to me a match with Big Dick Dudley, since they were just calling him Big Dick in an exaggerated fashion, which was the height of hilarity for my friend's little brother. The other, after the show a bit of some sort of religious/inspirational/pyramid scam seminar was on the tape that XPW just taped over. And this was a tape bought at a retail store, not some tape trade or other 3rd party transaction.

Their faces must be red years later, considering it's undoubtedly "White Trash" Johnny Webb who went on to become the new Mick Foley.

I was a teenager and it had Jessica Darlin as a valet for a bit. That girl was a worker(in her other occupation). That was a plus?
