1. Clemson 2. Oklahoma 3. Georgia 4. Alabama
Knew that was coming the minute everyone was saying that Ohio State deserved it.

That's the only real choice that makes any sense. Ohio State getting in would have been telling teams you could get humiliated by a meh team and still make the Playoff, make every game matter

Like unless you're just an absolute Buckeye homer or Alabama hater and throwing logic out the window, I don't even really see the argument outside of a weak 'but conference championship!' thing.

Conference championships matter... until they don't.
Also, UCF deserved to be in the Top 6.

If you didn't win your conference, you shouldn't be in the playoff. End of.
Not to mention Bama lost their only big game.

I think conference championships should matter, but win-loss records should matter more.
No argument on UCF.
I've got no dog in this fight, my team was 4-8 this year.

If Clemson plays like they're capable of, this should be a pretty moot point till the title game anyway. They SHOULD run the Tide right off the field this year.
They may not, but they should.

Male no mistake about it, if they weren't Alabama, they'd have never got in.
If this were Ole Miss, for instance, they'd have been told to piss off by the comittee.

I think both SEC teams get taken out in the semifinals anyway.

Sure, but they still deserve it more than that Ohio State team.
Now if people were stumping for UCF to get the fourth slot since they're undefeated, I'd be be in agreement there.
But a two loss team getting in before an undefeated or one loss team? Nah, conference championship or not, that doesn't make sense. They lost twice, one of which was an absolute ass kicking. That doesn't make them one of the best four teams.

The fact that this is the second year in a row that a non-championship team made it into the playoffs is a damning sign that the playoffs need to be expanded next year.

Ohio State has one more loss and one of them was allowing 50+ vs freaking Iowa. I don't like Alabama but they made the right call as far as the playoff goes. At least we're getting Clemson VS Alabama. Every time they throw down, it's a 5 star classic.

The fact that this is the second year in a row that a non-championship team made it into the playoffs is a damning sign that the playoffs need to be expanded next year. The system I would run is 8 teams. If you win one of the big 5 cons, you're in. Then it's 3 wild card spots and then rankings are adjusted accordingly. Con champs: Clemson Oklahoma Ohio State Georgia USC Wild Card: Alabama Wisconsin Auburn so by ranking it would be Clemson USC Alabama Ohio State Gerogia Wisconson Oklahoma Auburn

That's the only real choice that makes any sense. Ohio State getting in would have been telling teams you could get humiliated by a meh team and still make the Playoff, make every game matter Bama getting in tells teams you don’t have to schedule tough and run up the score against cupcakes. Basically, 2014 Baylor. The committee sent a message: Schedule doesn’t matter. Resume doesn’t matter. Top 5-10-15 wins? Doesn’t matter. Schedule Mercer in November.

They still won those games.
Should teams have to schedule tougher opponents? Sure, won't argue that. But that doesn't change the fact that 2 losses is more losses than one loss. Just from simple math, there's not an argument to make. Resume doesn't matter as much if you're losing more during it.
Win more games than other teams. The only way resume should be a factor is if their W-L records are the same. That's not the case here, so there's no argument to make.
