I remember JR always calling release Germans belly to backs when Angle, Benoit, etc did them. Correct. I always thought a belly to back suplex had the guy lifting his opponent and throwing him over one shoulder rather than just straight back like what we see with a German. That's a back body drop. Also possibly a back drop driver. Also "my knee is hurting, so I really can't finish off this atomic drop" (atomic back body drop). I've seen it called a "backdrop driver" and a "belly to back suplex". But it's definitely different than what WWE calls the German, which looks safer to take.
