I don't care how good their defense is. I still don't believe in Kansas City. As long as they have Alex Smith (and Andy Reid's playoff history is not too good), I just don't think KC can reach the SB. And if they get a top two seed, KC has spit the bit everytime they have a high seed at home. Death, Taxes, Chiefs choking at Arrowhead come playoff time. I forget, was that epic playoff collapse against the Colts in Arrowhead or Lucas Oil?

Another TD for a guy who should not be playing in the NFL. This shit annoys me, the guy hasn't done anything wrong since his incident, he's been apologetic. Just because his job is playing football doesn't mean he deserves to be punished more harshly than anyone else. Or are you saying that hey if you f***up your life is over no one should hire you and you should just off yourself because you made a mistake. I mean how awful the guy has been given a second chance, hasn't gotten in trouble and has responded by being one of the most dynamic players in the league. Terrible.

Let's also be honest the years the Chiefs lost with a high seed the NFL was a better league with better teams than the ones we see today. And those were Schottenheimer teams and no one was more snakebit in the playoffs than him, it even happened in San Diego.
The Chiefs just find a way to win, stats don't matter they simply find a way and there is something to be said for that.

That was a great win and sets the team up for a first round bye. Losing Derrick Johnson is a bad blow though. He is aging but is still one of the best tacklers in the league.

I'm actually interested in seeing the Jets vs. 49ers "for the lulz" as the kids say. "This week, SOMEBODY! MUST! WIN!"

The recent one was at Lucas Oil but the nadir of Chiefs chokejobs, as well as of Marty Schotenheimer's, was in 1995. That was the best team in the league.

In the 2nd half, the Bears looked like an actual NFL team. Jeff Joniak said post-game: "This is a showcase for the players. They won't lie down and lose, they played hard. This is a showcase to 31 other teams who will watch the film and possibly grab a few guys in the off-season."

I sort of think the worst playoff loss by the Chiefs to the Colts was in the 2006 season. The Chiefs had Larry Johnson and the Colts had the worst run defense that year. The Colts squashed them flat. The Chiefs did not even get their first 1st down until the 3 quarter (they got 7 altogether) and only managed a whopping 126 total yards. Granted, the Colts won the SB in that season, but up until that game they sure did not look like they could do it that year.

Next week The Saturday games begins. And what a game we get with Dolphins/Jets 2nd straight year we get the Jets on a Saturday. What a difference a year makes. Last year, they were 8-5 going into a Saturday night game against the 4-9 Cowboys. Boy, how the tables have turned.

I actually think Marty's best Chiefs team were 1993/1997. 95" had decent QB player, a strong defense, but wasn't a great team 97" had a dominant awesome defense but Denver was much better.

A lot of things can happen for the Cowboys tomorrow
A win and a loss by the Seahawks or the Lions they get a first round bye
If they win and both teams lose they get Home Field

Can the Niners just do everyone a favor and just forfeit the rest of their games?

People are saying that San Diego is most likely going to lose on Christmas Eve.
I say they should win by 10. If this is the best the Browns are, Phillip Rivers should still have a decent game.
