Derek Carr is now the highest paid QB in NFL history at roughly $25 million a year

that's just insane, almost as much as Glennon getting paid 15 mill a year

At least Carr has proven himself as a franchise-type QB so it isn't quite as outrageous as Glennon's contract.

And with guys like Stafford and Cousins needing new deals, Rogers pushing for a new one, Jimmy G in New England and, God know what teams like the Cards or others who need one will pay, Carr will be looking cheap by the start of next season.

Exactly. He's only the highest paid quarterback in history until next season when it will be someone else.

Fitting for the single most entitled arrogant annoying team ever. After hearing all year about how the Warriors are ruining the NBA, can we finally admit that the Patriots are ruining the NFL? Seriously, I have ZERO excitement for this football season. It feels like like the Patriots might as well already be in Super Bowl 51. Bleep this team forever. Brady and Belichick are doing more harm for football than anything Durant ever did with GSW.

But to be fair the Patriots went over a decade without winning a Superbowl yeah they've always been in the hunt, but other teams have had their shots.

1) The Warriors weren't ruining the NBA. It was super teams that was ruining it, which the Warriors just so happen to be. 2) Super Bowl 51 just happened, Super Bowl 52 is next year 3) Unlike the super teams, the Patriots aren't ruining the NFL because unlike the NBA, other teams still have a shot. 4) The single most entitled arrogant team ever.......yeah, they are not that. You would have to go to College Football for that crap. And even in the NFL, I think that would be false as teams like the Cowboys and Steelers exist.

According to Archie Manning, Dolphins coach Adam Gase sent a text to Peyton Manning to gauge his interest in a comeback to football late last season.

Let's go point-by-point, shall we? 1) "The single most entitled, arrogant team ever." Look, I'm not going to dispute how obnoxious Patriots fans can be, because I've been accused of that more times than I can count both on these Forums and off of them. But as I've said in the past, considering this organization was a punching bag laughingstock for about 35 of its first 40 seasons, I think we've more than earned a right to be a little braggadocios. You'll get your chance to throw it back in our faces in four or five years after Tom Brady and Bill Belichick has retired and the team is derping its way through a 4-12 season. 2) "The Patriots are ruining the NFL?" In the NBA, there are, what, two teams that have a legitimate chance to win the championship? In the NFL, there's at least a dozen teams you could point to and say "if things broke their way, they could hoist the Lombardi Trophy next February." And it's not like the Patriots have run roughshod over the league en route to championship after championship. Sure, they've won five Super Bowls in 15 seasons and have advanced to the AFC Championship Game in the last six seasons, but they've faced stiff competition from the likes of the Ravens, Broncos, Giants, and plenty of other thorns in our collective sides. 3) "Brady and Belichick are doing more harm for football than anything Durant ever did" Please show your work. Ratings are up, attendance is up, NFL popularity is at an all-time high. Now I'm not saying that's attributable to the Patriots, but they've not exactly hurt the business side of things. They're an easy team to root against, they're consistently good, and they draw eyes whenever and wherever they play. Trust me, as someone who loathed the Yankees in the late 90s and early 2000s with every fiber of my being, it's better to have a villain in sports than it is to have just another team.

So the Rams went from 'Hard Knocks' to the new season of 'All or Nothing'.
Note to everyone: No one gives an eff about the sorry-ass Rams

So the Rams went from 'Hard Knocks' to the new season of 'All or Nothing'. Note to everyone: No one gives an eff about the sorry-ass Rams Last season, the NFL tried pushing the Rams so hard because they were this shiny new object out in Los Angeles. They traded for the first overall pick in the 2016 Draft, they were on "Hard Knocks", they were featured in the intro video for "Madden NFL 17", and now we're learning that the cameras were following them for "All or Nothing." As I said last September, it must have ate away at the NFL that the Los Angeles Rams were so mediocre. But the problem was, they weren't even mediocre, they were terrible. You can pick up a turd and move it a couple of thousand miles west and it's still just a turd. Fortunately, now the Rams have a little brother in southern California in the Chargers, so maybe the NFL will cool off on its "LOOK AT THIS NEW LOS ANGELES TEAM THAT YOU ALL ARE SURE TO LOVE!" agenda from 2016.

I will forever hate the shitty LA Rams for losing to the 49ers TWICE and costing us Miles Garrett. At least there wasn't a slam dunk #1 QB in the draft, or I would have been even more pissed.

Good to see Vince Young still being bitter. Dudes whining that Fitzpatrick is still getting paid and is in the league while he's not. Young couldn't even stay healthy in his recent CFL tenure and retired. He couldn't even get his facts straight because Fitzpatrick didn't lead the league in interceptions last year. Both Philip Rivers and Jameis Winston had more. Young also only had more passing TDs than Interceptions in 2 of his 7 NFL seasons so I don't see what he's salty about. Dude always sucked in the pros. Also, for the answer to his question. Fitzpatrick may have sucked last season, but the dude threw for almost as many TD's the last two seasons as Young threw his entire NFL career. (43 for Fitz to 46 for Young)
