Dave Batista made me think of this thread. The guy looked badass with the hair from 2002-2007.
He looked very different around this time. When he returned as Bluetista in 2014 it was like a different person. You sort of felt sorrow for him.

Taz was the first one that came to mind. I thought he as a badass in ECW and then after a month in WWF, he came across like a wannabe tough midget guy and it didn't click. Heyman really knew how to make the best out of people.

Vader - from nightmare monster to fat slob. This. An absolute monster in Japan and WCW.....until Hogan showed up. Upon moving to the WWF he was intimidating to begin with, but lost all momentum after his Summerslam 96 loss.

The Giant was very intimidating when he entered WCW
after thr face turn, it kinda disappeared

Sid's last run in WCW was a pretty steep drop from all his previous incarnations.

Good one. In the same spirit, One Man Gang, and I don't just mean the change to Akeem. He popped up in WCW as OMG after that and it just didn't seem the same.

Heyman really knew how to make the best out of people. Taz has to be the ultimate answer here. Such a monster in ECW, total punk in WWF. Vader is a solid choice as well. Guys you really thought could kill someone in the ring, then got turned into jokes.

Doink after the face turn....I could never take him serious after that and the attraction of a creepy clown was totally wasted after he turned face.

Sid's last run in WCW was a pretty steep drop from all his previous incarnations. I believe that was because of the lobotomy

Kane - one of the coolest looks, and backstories ever to that time upon his debut. Then, unmasking and remasking (with a way less cool mask), constant turns, illogical character twists, and horrible comedy made him a Local Man.

Samoa Joe in TNA, totally due to bad booking though.

I can't pinpoint when the change happened, but Giant/Big Show was my first thought.
