Given Bruce seems genuinely contrite, realising he should have cultivated a better relationship with her, who's to say it wont be a genuine moment? That would be nice, but I think she genuinely dislikes Bruce. It's just my opinion and I may be wrong, but I think she's the main reason why Bruce never returned to the wwe. Bruce said he called Stephanie asking for a job after tna fired him and she answered that they had nothing for him. That was weird, Bruce worked for the company for more than twenty years and gave invaluable contributions to the wwe but she just passed on him? This is the same company that apparently fired writers every week but they can't fit Bruce fn Prichard. Bruce didn't deserved to get fired. He told the head of security about the gun, and why he couldn't left it at his empty house, but Stephanie can't give him a pass? But apparently Michael Hayes still gets to keep a job despite all the shit he has done over the years. I'm a Steph fan so very biased, but I can see it being genuine given he's not in he company. If she disliked him that much, they weren't obligated to bring him inow, it's not as though he had a big on camera presence ever on Raw.

It could also be Vince's call and Steph wasn't going to block it. I've had this theory HHH/Steph want to get rid of Vince's guys...i.e. Bruce, Dunn etc. Hayes didn't get on creative, from what I gather until around 2000.

Michael Hayes according to Sean Waltman almost pissed on Linda McMahon during a plane ride. He got drunk and made an ass out of himself during Triple H and Stephanie's wedding, Linda had to grab the microphone out of his hands when he started singing. He called Mark Henry the n word. He gave booze to Rosa Mendez a recovering alcoholic. And he's still there. Bruce had to bring his gun with him do to an emergency and he followed the correct procedure reporting said gun to the head of security, Stephanie then fires him on the spot. My opinion is that Hayes is Stephanie's flunkie and Bruce wasn't.

Hey fam today is The Rockers episode and it's over four hours long. While the team's whole run will be discussed, from the description I think it will focus more on Marty Jannetty and his eternal f*** ups.

I thought the announcement they have for the Brooklyn live show was Bruce appearing on the 25th Anniversary of RAW, but it's probably something else. Will be interesting to hear what it is...my shot in the dark guess is their podcast will be on WWE Network. At the beginning of today's show, Conrad said that Bruce being on the 1/22 Raw was going to be the big announcement at their 1/19 live show. They didn't know it was going to get out so soon. Conrad also said that there is going to be something they'll be announcing at the Brooklyn show.

This isn't 1995, there was no way WWE wasn't going to announce who'd be appearing on that show 2-3 days out.

So during Shawn and Marty's first WWF stint, were they the Midnight Rockers?

It's too bad that the Ironman matches have never shown up

Yea, Hayes is definitely a Steph/HHH guy and Bruce a Vince guy. Only HHH would think “You know who we need running this shit? A damn Freebird!”. That is the big difference.

I just listened to my first episode of this series (Razor Ramon) and it was absolutely fascinating. Bruce is so honest and candid. Can anyone recommend any great episodes or is it in my best interest to just start from the beginning?

The Houston wrestling episode might be the best they have ever done. Rick Rude, Ted Dibiase and Randy Savage episodes are great too.

The Rockers episode sucked.
I've read the Shawn Michaels book 2 or 3 times, and all Conrad did was read from it, and Bruce really didn't add anything new
Had to be one of my least favorite episodes

I was dumbfounded that it was a four hour episode and really brought nothing new to the table.

I have always heard Shawn’s perspective, and the story of the Rockers has always been told centered around Shawn. I feel like this brought a lot of different perspective into Marty Jannetty. Also, Bruce gave insight info a few rumors and cleared some things up. I DM’d Conrad just to say this was one of my favorite episodes, I thought people would have been pretty excited about this one.

You don't need to necessarily start from the beginning, but the next two you should listen to are the Steroid Trial and Royal Rumble '97 as, between those two episodes, that's where 80% of the series' running inside jokes originate from. After hearing those two (in that order) you'll be in the loop and able to bounce around wherever. Just do those two next.

Quite liked this week's ep. Bruce sounding more energetic (with the WWE news, I'm not shocked) this week and being excited about sharing all of his stories always leads to good episodes.
