My body has never been more sore after doing such little exertion. Just feeling older every damn day.

Just came home from a friend's house. His significant other has four long-haired cats, and three of them took turns sitting in my lap tonight.
Came home expecting my cat to to be upset for being with others. She is already in my lap, purring away.

I got back from my cousin's pre birthday lunch. We went to a biscuit place and the food slapped. I got full on one biscuit with mushroom gravy. Can't wait to tear into the leftovers. My cousin liked her presents. We did lots of walking even though she's got jacked up toes. BTW, she found a walking boot at the thrift shop for three bucks.

Just realised Eleven from Stranger Things is taken straight out of the pages of Dean Koontz The Door to December. The writers must be fans.

When are you too old to be allowed to do fun things? Especially if you don't have children?
When do you have to step aside and be boring and fade into the background?
Because I didn't get to do a whole lot of things during my peak age (due to being stuck with family members who were ultra-serious all the time and expected me to be the same), and I want to be allowed to make up for it.
And does it make me awful for still wanting that, instead of just accepting that my time has passed and living with it?

Silverstein recently released an album of re-recorded songs from their first 10 years. And I think that’s awesome. More bands should do that.

Only now in my 40s do I have a stable income so I am constantly doing and buying things I never could in my 20s. Sure, I am considered too old for much of it but I just do not care.

I'm 40 too, and I'm not ready to be the stereotypical ain'ty. There's still too many things I want to do and try. Money and my mental health kept me from doing many things in my teens and young adult years.

I'm 35, and I basically spend half my time as a suburban middle aged woman, and the other half making up for stuff I missed out on in my teens and twenties. No matter your age, as long as you're not doing harm to yourself or others, go for broke!

I just get really self conscious about being judged by 20-somethings as the "old head" that isn't allowed to do fun things anymore because the very idea of somebody 35+ doing fun things instead of sitting around in a rocking chair drinking prune juice offends them.

Don't listen to those kiddos. Age is only a number. I'm my 40s too and I find ways to have fun and do stuff regardless of how old anyone else is.

I feel like I'm being judged by my peers. "Don't you want to bitch about the youth and romanticize your childhood with us?"

Speaking of youth, man I hate them. I'm too smart to have kids (or they're too dumb to find me), and otherwise have no interest in being around them.
And now I'm at my favorite Starbucks and there are two mouth breathers sitting next to me being weird and annoying. Dammit!

As long as you aren't hurting yourself or others don't worry about what others think about you. I am mid 40s and do not care what others think about me. Espically when it is people I do not know.

Has there ever been a horror novel taking place in a fantasy setting like LOTR or ASOIAF and so on?

MasterChef is the best reality cooking show, and this year they absolutely got the right winner. Dorian was great.

Going on holiday with seven other people (admittedly two of whom are infants), you realise how irritating some people’s habits are - tinny phone music, dawdling and faffing about when getting ready, not being able to relax...
I did say to my partner that this would happen, but she didn’t listen. Still....only nine days to go.

Man, I just went in circles with someone who kept asking me the same question over and over and over again, even when I told them I didn't want to answer it, then once I told them to stop repeating themselves, they told me I was very weird. Takes one to know one, I guess.
