Dottonbori Pro is more within what Osaka Pro was in its heyday.

What is interesting about the Japanese companies is that it's really the only place these days that follows the traditional territorial show set up of wrestling. You look at the pictures and crowd attendances and they're in small buildings in front of small crowds putting on what would be considered "B-Shows" but the audience still love it, still pay to see it and continue to come back every single time the wrestling is in town.
You also have the companies using their own promotion guys but also using guys from elsewhere which doesn't occur anywhere else. In America you mostly have petty political stuff which stops wrestlers from working certain shows or working with specific people which causes problems.
I wish more American companies would follow suit because clearly the business model works since a wrestler who is with DDT probably works 150+ times a year for DDT and maybe an additional 25-30 times for other promotions compared to America where a local independent guy will work about 12 times a year for their home promotion and an additional 3-5 times for other promotions.

CZW runs small student shows weekly. As well as their monthly bigger cards with the occasional double header with their sister company, WSU. Aside from them though idk any company that runs shows that frequently in the US. Don't think most of them can afford it

Aside from them though idk any company that runs shows that frequently in the US. Don't think most of them can afford it That's not really territory style though that's just a weekly show. Pick a random company for example say...Michinoku Pro. They're currently on break but they return later this month with a five match card at a kitchen hall, the next day they've got a six match card at a gym, the day after that they've got another six match card at a hotel and then they have a dojo show to end that week before taking a few days off and going back to 3-4 shows in a week. DDT is another good example. Today they're offering a 4 match card in a martial arts centre, two days later they're offering a decent card at Shinjuku Face and then the day after that they've got 2 shows in 2 different regions before ending the week with a small hall show. Even the small companies like Ryuku Dragon Pro Wrestling are running 2-3 shows a week. It's really quite good. I'm not sure affordability comes into it I just think these companies might sell themselves quite cheap. I don't think the Japanese companies would pay to put on shows unless they were big shows.
