...succeeded in another such that you don't think of their most famous character? Let's think of some.
My list would be headed by Patricia Routledge, I loved Hetty Wainthropp and really didn't think of Hyacinth when I saw her on that show. There's also Wendy Richard, going from Miss Brahms to Pauline Fowler.
Stateside...Ed O'Neill. I don't even think of Al Bundy when I see Jay Pritchett.

Mark Hamill.
Granted most of his other roles were voice acting but still.

I watched Neil Flynn and Patricia Heaton in Scrubs and Everybody Loves Raymond, but I don't think of them from those shows. I think of them as Mike and Frankie Heck from The Middle.

I always associate Wayne Knight with Dennis Nedry in Jurassic Park or Stan in Space Jam rather than Newman.

Bryan Cranston doesn't make me think of Breaking Bad as much as Malcolm in the Middle.

I always associate Wayne Knight with Dennis Nedry in Jurassic Park or Stan in Space Jam rather than Newman. I think more people know him as Don from 3rd Rock from the Sun over here than Newman. Seinfeld wasn't as popular here in the UK and in the typical Seinfeld vs Friends discussions it's Friends that usually wins over here.

Bryan Cranston doesn't make me think of Breaking Bad as much as Malcolm in the Middle. I sometimes think of him for his voice acting, like Macross Plus and a few Power Rangers enemies.

Along the same lines, Aubrey Graham is not Drake to me. He'll always be "Wheelchair" Jimmy Brooks

Along the same lines, Aubrey Graham is not Drake to me. He'll always be "Wheelchair" Jimmy Brooks Which is why his whole hardass gangster persona is just pure bullshit to me. He is clearly trying to pretend to be something he's not. Now to the people who never saw him on Degrassi, sure I guess they can buy into it, but anyone who ever saw that it's like, "Man shut the hell up, we know this ain't you. You were a rather well off Canadian actor, man."

Seinfeld wasn't as popular here in the UK and in the typical Seinfeld vs Friends discussions it's Friends that usually wins over here. I've heard that before. I've heard the reasoning in part was because Seinfeld is so super New York with tons and tons of reference to the city and such. Is that true at all? Also, I'd imagine the way Seinfeld talks might get grating depending on what accent of the English language you're most used to.
