Was surprised how quick my other thread got to two pages despite the low activity to this forum and thought this might be a good companion thread. It'd help might even make the TNA forum a little less negative for once as well Probably not the best considering some of the matches AJ Styles had, but I LOVED Christian Cage as heel champ during his second NWA Title Run. Shame, TNA pushed him out of the main event once their shiny new Kurt Angle toy came and started pushing him further and further away from the spotlight. I still think 2006/2007 was TNA's most enjoyable year timeframe with the Russo crap.

Samoa Joe
Biggest draw ever before Russo killed him. TNA never made that kind of money after that.

Either Angle or Christian.
I side with Angle.
He may be a shell of himself now however, there was a point in time when he was their Ace and they rode him to the floor.

AJ Styles WAS TNA, so I have to go with him.

Bobby Lashley. While it's no where near the peak of TNA talent and quality wise, dude was the epitome of the dominate kick ass champion. Great in the ring and on the mic and no one ever thought you could say the latter about him.

As far as actual title reigns? Roode. It should be Lashley but it happened during a time where nobody could possibly care about TNA so I feel like that will never truly get the respect it deserves. Dude was the best champion in all of wrestling during his first and last title run.

I'm honestly hardpressed to think of a single TNA title run that was fairly lengthy but didn't have a single incredibly stupid thing in it. Even Roode had things like main-eventing a PPV with a non-title match where Sting lost by braining himself on a chair.

I was going to say Jeff Jarrett because he had some good long reigns.
However I am going to say Raven. Raven was champion when I got into TNA and he had some excellent matches with JJ and Rhino.
Also from a purely entertainment perspective Mick Foley's desperate death grip onto his TNA world championship was pure gold. In fact everything Foley did pr-Hogan was amazing.

It wasn't a great title reign in that they pulled the plug too fast, but I feel obligated to pick Raven. He was the one who got me to give even a phantom of a shit about TNA as an entity. So naturally, they give him a good build for the title and then immediately pull the rug out from under him.

Have to say either Angle or Joe for being a draw. But I think it has to be Angle.

Great in the ring and on the mic and no one ever thought you could say the latter about him. Lashley is someone who totally stepped up his game and went into beast mode. Even with TNA burning to the ground around him, he was a revelation. When it came to him, there was no LOLTNA. Except for how bitchassness in the ways he lost the title.

Samoa Joe.
He looked legit and would have helped TNA a lot if certain people wern't in the way. Like Goldberg in WCW, I could never understand why he never got the belt back.

AJ Styles
Honorable mentions: Austin Aries, Kurt Angle, Robert Roode, Bubba Ray Dudley, Bobby Lashley, and Jeff Jarrett.

I would say for TNA actually doing right by: Angle, Roode, or Christian Cage
AJ, Joe, and Aries should be on that list, but they never really got the chance to shine like they should have.

I am going by a bias but Christian. He had a great babyface run and a great heel run. Even if 2007 TNA was Russo at his most Russo'esque, Christian was still great.
