Let's once again consider that these were the old Smackdown tag titles, which were distinguished by a blue globe in the center (as opposed to a red one on the old Raw belts).

About time.
I figure that the WWE title is staying black for a while though because they've already changed it twice in 4 years.

It bug anyone else how they immediately went into burial mode on the old belts? I get wanting to put over the new ones, but doesn't exactly look good to have New Day fresh off having set the record holding the old belts immediately respond to the new ones with, "What, you all got new ones? After we had to spend a year lugging around that garbage?"

SD and Raw is now West Coast and East Cost. Who is Biggie and who is Pac? Owens and Styles.

If we must take this "red show, blue show" thing to a ridiculous extreme, could Raw's belts at least be a darker and more muted hue, rather than Swedish Fish Red?

I think the new belts do look better than the Penny ones, but a maroon/dark blood red would look way better and less Fruit Roll-Up-y

Different sideplates, different font, different shape, one has half a globe other has a full globe

I dig it, but I like silver. I didn't mind the original copper and gold look but they didn't haven early enough gold to make it stand out over the super shiny copper. The Silver does look nicer though.

I'm still staring at the United Kingdom title design and going "What the hell guys, the Universal Title looks like a Fruit Rollup, and this title looks like THAT??"
But yeah, no complaints, never really liked a Bronze plating for belts.

Not as nice looking as the SD ones but thank god they got rid of the penny look. I loved the fact New Day got in one more dig at how crummy the Tag Pennies looked.

Meh.... Even though this color is slightly better, they still don't look like what championship *gold* is supposed to look like to me but rather some cheap toy. And it annoys me to no end that the announcers and the wrestlers themselves refer to winning gold when the belts aren't gold. If you are going to say gold, make them gold!

I like them. A kinda sort of throwback to the NWA U.S. Tag Team titles This. And actually belt designs have been more toyish since the Attitude Era. The major companies need a Dave Millican to work with again.

I'm fine with it. I like the belt synergy. I would have liked if they had done the World/Universal titles in the vein of the Women's belts:
