They "Jericho'd" his height by about 2-3 inches. I was surprised that he was at face level with Ziggler (billed as 6') and looking at his boots I realized why. Probably to make him look less like a cruiserweight and taller than Ellsworth.

Probably, don't Kane and Braun wear minor lifts, too?

Probably, don't Kane and Braun wear minor lifts, too? Nearly everyone booked as a "giant" wears lifts. It's usually the tallest and the shortest heavyweight wrestlers who wear the tallest lifts.

Probably, don't Kane and Braun wear minor lifts, too? Kane definitely does, as once you notice the quasi-platform at the back of his shoe the match might as well be over as you can't take your eyes off it. Sheamus also wears lifts, as CM Punk called him out on it during the "Champ vs Champ" build for the debut of Main Event.

Probably, don't Kane and Braun wear minor lifts, too? Kane definitely did at one point to make him closer in height to the Undertaker.

It happens a lot more than you'd think, honestly.

I think most if not everyone on the roster get some height assistance from their footwear. Seth Rollins height changes dramatically depending on who he is feuding with.

It happens a lot more than you'd think, honestly. I'm only 5'8 so I'm not a tall guy to begin with and I felt like Andre the Giant when I met guys like Jericho or AJ Styles. Most dudes wear lifts for sure. Especially now with a cruiserweight division while AJ Styles is a guy who is legit under 5'8 tall and under 205lbs. Like half of the cruiserweight division is bigger than AJ.

On a separate note, I was thinking what if AJ Styles stood for "Ahmed Johnson" Styles?

Speaking of height, is it just me or is it really easy to forget how tall Jake Roberts was? He was pretty much the same height as Hogan and the Undertaker, but listed as 6'5"/6'6".
Also some of my friends had a picture with him and he completely dwarfed them.

First time I noticed lifts at a wrestling show was at an Indy with Larry Sweeney.
That dude practically wore stilts.

That happens when guys are billed with their REAL height unlike guys like Hogan or Undertaker (who was billed as 7' at some point if I remember correctly).

I guess it might just not come across, especially given how he'd hunch over a lot of times while wrestling. No wonder Noelle towers over most of the women in the company.

I think it's a combination of Foley not really being booked like a big guy, combined with the fact that he is always hunched over. Ambrose is similar as he's like the tallest member of the shield.

I know AJ Styles isn't big, but someone in here said he is under 5'8''. Is he really that small?

The average wrestler has gotten a lot smaller over the years. Most of the guys that are in WWE today would have been too small to be around in 1986.
Most of everybody from back in the day would stand out for their size today. Think of the Martels, Santanas, Taylors, a bit later, guys like Waltman, even Owen Hart who I think WAS the shortest guy in the company in the mid 90's and had worked as a junior heavyweight in Japan, they would be far from being the shortest guys today.

Taker was usually said to be NEAR 7 feet tall. I remember him being listed at 6'11" in the "Attitude Era". There was no way, probably more like 6'6"/ 6'7" and I would say he wore lifts for a good amount of his career.

Dynamite Kid was the same size, if not bigger than AJ Styles and definitely bigger than Daniel Bryan. Think about that and how he compared to everyone in the company back then.
