I think Mike Bailey and the Super Smash Bros are the most high profile guys. Any others?
Also, to clarify correct me if I'm wrong but these bans all resulted from passport issues, right? In other words it's not just like all Canadians are banned from working the US on the indie level.

Seleziya Sparx got caught too which is a shame because she was gaining some traction here in the US.
I'm drawing a blank on Speedball and the SSBs, but yes, visa was the issue. Sparx tried getting over, they denied her and she tried again within 24 hours and customs decided to punish her.

Regarding the SSBs, Uno did some US dates earlier this year, so no ban there. From what I've heard, Dos isn't actually banned like Speedball and Sparx are, but has been having problems getting over the border.

I know Kenny Omega has done recent PWG stuff (though I don't know how recent) but when ROH had their Global Wars shows he was only booked on the Toronto show. I want to say he had visa issues but I don't believe he is banned.

Speedball got banned after being caught 2 or 3 times crossing the border to work without the proper visa.Which sucks cause he was starting to make a name for himself all over the US indies.

I believe Josh Alexander recieved a ban similar to Sparx and Speedball.
Curious if Matt Sydal will be able to do shows outside of the states.

Canadian border patrol is extremely petty. So many famous rappers were at one point banned from Canada or banned from performing in Canada on the excuse of lyric content or past criminal history. Like this is the reason why Eminem hasn't performed in Canada until 2014 and the performances he made were just festivals or a surprise appearance in a Drake concert. This was literally the excuse of why R-Truth was banned from entering Canada for the longest time until he got WWE lawyers appealing for him. Apparently when they found he released a rap album while he was arrested at the border, they extended his probation from entering Canada even further.

Try re-entering Canada after having lived abroad for a long time and see how welcoming those assholes in the TSA are.

Actually with R-truth it was more that he has a felony on his record as to why he wasn't allowed into Canada. Hell, the border guards turned back Jim Cornette over something that happened in LA back when Cornette was working for Mid South in the 80s.

Curious if Matt Sydal will be able to do shows outside of the states. Would depend on where, I think. He's most certainly done in Japan, and the UK is similarly strict so he's prob'ly not going to be there anytime soon either.

I did say he had a felony but they enforced it more once they found out he had a rap record. R-Truth spoke about it and look it up on Canada vs. Rap Industry. They let in other celebs with worse records easier if they have never rapped before.

You'd expect if it's your home country it'd be a pretty smooth process to get back in considering your home country is always supposed to welcome you with open arms.

"It took years for the WWE to get the UK to allow R-Truth into that country." Same guy is the one that told me about how R-Truth travels with Vince.

According to what I've been able to find, drug-related offenses are on the list of reasons to deny people entry into Mexico, so it would be up to them whether he's allowed across or not.

Makes sense, but I was thinking they may be more lenient than the UK and Japan, which are notoriously tough on drug offenders. Plus, Sydals's style could get over well there.
