People, you have already been asked to stay on topic and away from telling people what and/or how to feel. I want to make this perfectly clear: STAY ON TOPIC AND DO NOT TELL OTHERS WHAT AND/OR HOW TO FEEL ABOUT THIS OR ANY OTHER SIMILAR SITUATION. The next person that does this will have more free time than they planned going forward. Don't you mean "STAY ON TARGET"? Sorry.

I had just sat down in my seat at the theater to see Rogue One with my wife and son when I saw the news this afternoon. I pray for her complete recovery.

I heard about this at work, just able to post now.
I'm crushed. I just... my emotions can't take another blow this year, they really can't. I'm just fighting to stay optimistic as she is fighting right now. I pray that she recovers and continues to enjoy her life. But... fifteen minutes before they found a pulse, in ICU in critical....
But we don't give up. We have hope. We must have hope.
Please...

I was dreading waking up to see the news this morning, thankfully it's not what I was half expecting to read.
I'm guessing (as in I don't have the experience to know) that since it's been a fair few hours now, it becomes more about the damage that was done rather than the heart attack itself.
It could have been a lot worse; there were medically trained people on the flight and the plane was close to landing rather than in the middle of the ocean.
Wishing her all the best for a speedy recovery.

MSN scared me with a giant banner about her greatest moments, so I thought there was a turn for the very worst. Cause you'd think they saved that for, you know...
Hope she'll be OK, like Jerry Lawler.

Woke up this morning to see BBC cover a bit on the story with photos, videos and everything...stuff they usually wheel out when someone dies. Relieved (so far) to find she hasn't yet, but the media are treating it like she's already gone.

Absolutely devastating news. I'm not trying to be callous at all, but my wife's uncle suffered a major heart attack and lingered for a couple of weeks before he finally passed due to all the damage his body had sustained. I'll hold out hope that her situation will be different and she'll be able to make a full recovery, but if it's anything like my wife's uncle then I sincerely hope that Carrie Fisher is able to pass in peace without suffering any longer.

My thoughts and prayers go out to her and her family at this time. Not only is she a childhood heroine of mine, she's also a funny and admirable person.

I'm a big fan of Carrie; she's amazing and her HBO special "Wishful Drinking" was brilliant.
Sadly I was not surprised by this news, I watched her on Graham Norton last weekend and she simply seemed out of it; I actually couldn't finish the episode because seeing her like that was too tough to watch.
I adore her and hope she recovers. One thing that's important to point out: The fools who sat near her on the flight claim she wasn't breathing for 10 minutes. Keep in mind that these desperate for attention losers aren't medical professionals and studies have proven that during crisis people have absolutely no concept of time and, in reality, unknowingly exaggerate things to either extreme (way too short or far to long compared to reality).

This has been a bad year for Star Wars performers. We already lost Kenny Baker, the voice of Admiral Akbar and a guy who played a Death Star worker

I heard the news about her this morning, and I've also just heard about Status Quo guitarist dying today....surely we're not going to lose two more greats before the end of the year?
Get well soon, Carrie Fisher. Please.
